My 3 year old thought it was the coolest thing ever and still wears it around the house.
Yes they can come off but the clips that close it are pretty tight. I'd say just make it as form fitting around their wrist as they can handle so it won't slide off over their hands.
My son pretends he's a superhero with it on.
It won't slide off if that's your concern...as it can be adjusted tighter. But they do unsnap pretty easily if the kids try. They'd have to be trying to get it off though...it would be difficult for it to come undone by themselves. Our 2 sons (5&8) we constantly taking theirs off the first couple days making us very nervous. We just had to keep an eye on them and ask if they had them every time we left somewhere. They seemed to get used to them by day 3.
It isn't only children that can lose them.
Yesterday, DH lost his, sometime during the Thunder Mountain Roller Coaster ride. Went to City Hall to get a new one.
They do fit pretty well/tight, but if you catch it on something, it'll come off. But I personally haven't heard it happening that often.
Great question! I was wondering if they were super tight bands that had to be cut off (like the ones we got at Atlantis when we stayed there) glad to hear they are not as tight and can snap off if they start irritating the little ones!
