Magic band question about id

I have only been to disneyworld
My older friend wants to go to Disneyland. However,she refuses to go if she has to give all her personal information just to get a ticket to go in.
Is Disney land like the world where you give your name and all your info like a drivers license to get in
Or can I just buy her and i tickets and she just be able to go in with one of them
Like at a fair you just buy an armband and go in without having to give all your personal info

This is the procedure at Disneyland:

You can purchase valid tickets form Disney or other reputable re-sellers.
Bring this ticket to the park, or the email verification if it is an e-ticket.
When you get to the gate you will be asked to sign the back of the ticket (actually I'm not sure they still require a signature) and your picture will be taken (if you have an email confirmation they will issue you a card ticket - they do not use Magic Bands at DLR).
The photo is used to verify the ticket holder each time you enter a park. This is just to verify that the ticket is not transferred and they collect no further information.

That's it. To be fair, WDW does not require driver's license info or anything like that either. If you are the holder of an MDE account they do collect some info, but others can be added to it with very little info (even a fake name if desired). They do take a biometric scan of your finger instead of a photo at the gates for ticket verification purposes.

I don’t know what you’re referring to at Wdw. That isn’t a thing there.

Nor is it at Disneyland.

Now if your fingerscan doesn’t work when you reenter or go the next day with either park, you will have to prove that you are the you that first used it. Which means you sign it the first day and might have to show id the next time if the scan doesn’t work. It’s to reduce fraud, not to be nefarious.

Thank you. I thought I was losing it. I didn't remember collecting everyone's licenses or anything. I just gave names and got Magic bands. It was the one thing I do wishe DL had that WDW had....

They only need a photo. That's it. They don't require signatures on the tickets anymore. However, in order to use Maxpass, you do need to create an account and use the official Disneyland app, which does ask for lots of info, including a credit card saved on file. You also need to have that app in order to use Mobile Ordering. So, you can go in "under the radar," but you will miss out on the things that add a LOT of convenience and time savings during your day.
