We have an upcoming trip for Food & Wine, BWV studio, same for D-SIL & her DH. She found the Passholder sliders in the bottom of the box that her magic bands came in and texted to ask if we got them too. We arrive only 1 day apart.......we did not!

Anyone else get them? We started our current annuals March 1st, she started hers last Oct. TIA

We got them - and yes, I found them underneath the cardboard insert that holds the bands. Probably easy to overlook if you don't know to look for them. Our APs were activated last December.

We activated APs last December, but didn't actually customize the bands and have then shipped until earlier this month (trip starts tomorrow). The sliders were in the box, but as mentioned, pretry well hidden inside the cardboard tube the bands were wrapped around. VERY easy to miss.

The resort front desk may have some. They were giving out DVC sliders after the DVC sliders were discontinued.

They would have been in the box when your AP bands arrived. They din'5 come in later boxes like resort stays.

We just ordered our AP magicbands a few weeks ago - activated in February. We got them last week with the sliders. The box they came in was different than the box resort magicbands come in. I can't remember if this is the first time the box has been different.

We have a couple sets of the old green AP sliders from last year. We bought the parksavers.com park hoppers before this trip & upgraded to the Gold AP when we went last weekend. We have another trip planned in January - will they send us the new orange sliders with those bands or do we just need to be sure to keep our old green ones?

The sliders are just a decorative item. They don't serve as a qualifier for any discounts. You'll still need your discount card & photo ID to get those, although sometimes, the CM will just look you up in the system rather than ask to see the card.

I find the MB sliders a bit annoying, so don't put them on my band.

I missed the sliders in our box until I read this post and then I found them. I can't find our old DVC sliders to put on our new aps which is a bummer.

I have recycled MB's so I didn't get those but I did ask for them at the Guest Services desk in AK last week and they gave me a few. Ask at the hotel front desk or at GS and they should be able to give to you.

I have a ticket I'm planning to upgrade to a Platinum AP in December. Did you upgrade at one of the guest services windows, and if so, were you able to get the DVC discount? Also, did you lose any of your FP+ when you upgraded? That's my biggest fear. I think I read, somewhere, that FP+ don't transfer to the upgraded ticket.

We upgraded at the front Epcot Guest Services window before we ever entered the park. I wanted to go ahead & do it right away so we could go ahead & get the TIW card at the same time. No problems - yes we got the DVC member price for the Gold pass and the CM quoted the exact $117 price to upgrade that I was expecting. And no, we didn't loose any of our FP selections. No glitches at all. Easy peasy.

We'll be activating APs for the first time since magicbands came on the scene - am I right in thinking there'll be no AP slider for this first trip because the APs won't have been activated (although the APs are linked to my MDE account)?

Do I have to order another set of magicbands for our second visit using APs just to get an AP slider?

When you get home from your trip you'll receive an email to personalize your AP MB. It's just like every other MB except the slider comes with it. As another poster mentioned, the slider is just decoration, you will still need your discount card and an ID to get a discount. The only time I've ever noticed an advantage to having the slider on was my last trip, we were eating at Flying Fish and when our waiter came out to take our order and asked if we were on any dining plan he did say and you have an AP for the discount. I just looked at my son and said "o.k. big brother the mouse is seeing way too much now" but my son just smiled and said "Mom, you have the AP slider on your band".

Haha!

I guess the 3 night cruise break we have in the middle of our split stay trip doesn't give us enough time to do the AP customisation for when we return 4 days later?
