I just got back from 10 days at WDW. I researched a lot about the MBs and FP+ on this board before our trip, and wanted to give some reviews of our experiences.
First, I'll say that we booked before any tiering structures were implemented, so I was able to schedule any 3 attractions for each park. We also stayed at CBR and were able to still get legacy FP with our KTTW cards. Had those two things been different, my review would probably not be as positive.
The MBs - I was kind of nervous about these from hearing people on the board, but I loved them. I dont normally wear a watch or bracelet, but I didn't find them to be uncomfortbale. My kids kept them on most of the time and had no complaints. I underestimated how convenient these would be. Getting into the parks was great. I didn't have to fumble through pockets or bags to find everyones KTTW card, we just scanned our wrist and went. Same goes for FP+ reservations, charging to the room, and Photopass. We never once had an issue with our bands not scanning. They all worked at our rooms and throughout the parks. Also, removing the turnstiles at the gate was an awesome bonus, especially with 2 strollers. Much more convenient.
FP+: Like I said, we weren't restricted to the teiring system, and could still get legacy FP, so the FP+ were an awesome bonus. I think that even with a teired structure, if they let you get additional FP at the parks (similar to the legacy system), it will be great. Even if only people staying on property have the ability to do so. It gives an extra incentive to stay on propoerty, but at least still gives someone a shot at getting a FP on the day-of. We were able to use our 3 and still get 2 to 3 more legacy passes a day and do everything we wanted with minimal wait times.
