Magic Band for 2yo who is now 3

Hi! I'm wondering about my 3 year-old's magic band from last year. Since he was still 2 years old, he didn't have a ticket attached to his band. Now that he's three and will need a ticket to gain entry and use Fastpass+, etc. will he be able to use his band from last year? I'm assuming that since it wasn't associated with a ticket at the time, it's not going to work, but....? Does anyone have any ideas about this? Thanks!!

Have you added him to your Disney account and added the magic band to that account?

He received one last year because he was on the reservation and has an MDX Profile.

That MB will work for him. It provides the link to his ticket and FP info in MDX. No tickets get linked to a MB - all info is linked into the MDX account.
