Do you have to be a resort guest to charge with your MB? We are AP holders and have a CC saved to our MDE account. We are making our first day trip to WDW this weekend and have never tried before. I'm thinking probably not but thought I'd ask. Thanks
you are not charging to your magic band.
you are charging to your room reservation.
so you can only use your magic band for purchases if you are staying onsite.
You would still probably want to have your ID and at least 1 other form of payment. I know I have heard on these boards about the charging feature not working and people did not have another form of payment.
Wait a minute. So for clarification, I cannot just walk up to a food stall at the F&W Festival and use my MagicBand to pay for it since we aren't staying in a Disney resort?

Correct. You cannot just link a credit card to your My Disney Experience account and use your MB to access it.
They DO have Disney gift cards that are smaller versions on a wrist strap, available during F&W. Some people just load those up and use that at the stands.
