Magic band broken after first wearing

Magic bands arrived yesterday. DS12 tried his on and when he took it off one of the nubs used to fasten it broke off. Hope this is not an indication of things to come. Anyone else have this problem?

I've been playing with mine constantly for a week and it is fine.

You might have unfortunately gotten a defective one. My family (all 10 of us) wore our magicbands hard for 10 days, and we didn't have any problems with durability.

If you'd like to keep your personalized one, I'd call IT quick and see if they can send you another. If you wait until you arrive you'll be stuck with "iconic" grey.

Thanks for that little reminder about color. DS likes his "butter" color. I was thinking they would say to get a new one at check in, but they are sending out a new one.

We had one peg (out of two) break off on two of our bands towards the end of our nine day trip last week. Both of ours that broke were pink, so I was wondering if the pink ones specifically might have a manufacturing defect, but maybe other colors do too. The bands still stayed on fine with only one peg though.

Haven't seen many threads of this happening very often so I don't think there is any need to worry - with the sheer number of bands being manufactured, it's bound to happen once in awhile.

My DS12 is a gentle giant, but small things do get broken around him. OP, thanks for the warning. I am going to make sure DS is as careful as can be.

My DS6 had one of the nubs rip off of his bad the first time trying it on. Half way through our stay last week the other nub ripped off. He was gentle with the band, so it wasn't a case of abusing the band.

It was a bummer because the one that broke was a personalized blue bad with his name on it. The conciege was able to issue a new band, but it was the generic grey without his name.

My Frozen band broke and yes I have the same problem
