Magic as Wide as a smile!10/28 Trip Report Link!!!!

That Mad Hatter cake is very cute. My daughter is a big Alice in Wonderland fan, she would love that cake.

Come to think of it, I remember reading that they're going to be changing the studios at BLT! I think it was in Disney Files! I totally agree about the bathroom and kitchen sharing a sink! That is just gross!

I've been thinking about buying a small bathmat to use in the bathroom, I figure I can throw it in the dryer the morning we leave and then put it in the Owners Locker!

Yep, I read it in the Disney Files as well. It said "this fall" so who knows when it will start and be completed, but I'm looking forward to it!!!!! Like I read on a BLT thread, hairspray and bagels with cream cheese just don't mix.

Great idea on the bathmat!!!

Chef Mickeys looks like a blast! I can't wait to eat there again in March - we are doing a breakfast! Minus the whole woman falling...:scared1: that poor family!

The cake is beautiful! I used to go on the cake thread from time to time just to see the pictures and I think yours is one of the best I have seen! The colors are just awesome and it's beautifully done. I'm glad to hear it tasted good too! What a great surprise!

And I love your tradition of Wishes on the last night. :cloud9: Poor kiddos crying on the bus! I so understand though....:goodvibes

That cake is absolutely gorgeous. It is super cool! I love it! Great design.

So sad to the dear old lady who feel and smashed her face. I bet she got the $50K workup in addition to a smashed nose. What a crappy thing to happen on vacation. But I bet it happens all the time. My SIL's uncle actually died down there last June. They are SSR owners and he is in terrible health, oxygen dependent, bad heart, ect. He was hospitalized within 12hour and died in a week or 10 days. So sad for the family but Disney was wonderful and put her up in a villa or room after her reservation ended until she could leave to go home.

Sorry - morbid story.

So sad that the girls were so sorry to be leaving. That's how LJ was when we got back to Philly. But they are happy tears!

Speaking of happy....How many more days now??????

:thumbsup2 I was so happy with the way the cake came out, especially because it was good!

Hmm, I wonder when they'll be done! Probably before March!

I did get a bathmat! I had visions of slipping and cracking my head open on the tub or something!

You're going to love Chef Mickey's! Henry is going love Chef Mickey's! I felt so bad for that lady! What a thing to happen on vacation!

I was so happy with the cake! It was really beautiful and so yummy!

I feel like ending the trip with Wishes the night before we leave is ending in a magical way! I felt so bad for the kids! But, of course, I knew it meant they had a fabulous trip!

I love the cake! It was great!!! They did such a great job!

That poor lady! I hope they checked her out really well! OMG! what a terrible thing to happen that the gentleman died at WDW! I'm glad that WDW was helpful and accommodating!

They were sad to leave but I know they had a fabulous trip!

Sometime in the middle of the night I was awoken to a terrible pain! Ack! A Charlie Horse in my left calf! OUCH! I get Charlie Horses every once in awhile (insert my Dad telling me to eat bananas here;)) This one was pretty bad though! I tried to stretch it out. Then I felt another pain! In my left knee! UGH! Really?! The Charlie Horse subsided, the pain in my knee did not! I must have hyper extended it in my attempt to stretch the Charlie Horse out!

I was able to doze off and on for a few hours but my knee really hurt! I finally got up around 5 to take shower! I looked at my knee and it was swollen nicely. I took my shower and advil and got myself ready.

Then I got my family up to get moving! Jen and her family we’re already up! I showed DH my knee and explained what happened! I also told him I was going to suck it up and not let it affect our last day!

We really wanted to get sometime in MK before it was time to head back to Kidani to catch ME! We needed a little extra magic before we left for home!

We got ready and called bell service. After the bags were off so were we! Our last walk down the long hallway! This time with tears! Jessica was nearly hysterical and Justin wasn’t far behind! I tried to remind them that yes we did have to leave, but all good things must come to and end and we still had a few hours to enjoy WDW, crying would make it that enjoyable! Although, my knee really hurt and I would have liked to cry!

We were soon off to MK and soon heading up Main Street for the last time of the trip! It was shortly after 9, we had to be back to Kidani around 2 for ME!

You know what?

I didn’t take 1 single picture that day! I’m not sure if I was trying to take in every bit of the magic or I was in pain. Maybe a combination of both! It’s not like me not to take pictures!

Because of the lack of pictures I’m going to try to keep the report on the last day to a minimum!

Like I said we were off! Head toward BTMRR! Everyone wanted one more ride! We walked through Adventureland with maybe 10 other people! It was empty! As we approached BTMMR I noticed no sound of the car clanking over the tracks! It was down! Oh no!

We decided that we would head toward HM! We literally walked straight through the line and into the stretching room! The room had maybe 20 people total when they closed the door! It was nice not to be jammed packed in there!

We, of course, had blast on the ride as usual!

In just the short amount of time we were on HM BTMMR was up and running! So we, not including Jen and Ryan, enjoyed the wildest ride in the wilderness! We walked right on again!

We were getting hungry so we decided to head toward the Main Street Bakery for a last Cinnamon Roll breakfast! It was yummy!

Then it was off to Buzz to defeat Zurg again!

After Buzz the kids decided they wanted to ride the speedway! Jen, myself and Jess decided to sit this one out! We browsed in Star Traders for a few minutes but left with nothing purchased!

We found a wonderful bench to sit on! I was even able to put my leg up! I showed Jen my knee and she was a little concerned! It actually looked better then it when I took a shower! Even still, Jen offered to go rent me an ECV!!! LOL! I didn’t think I needed it!

After the speedway we headed toward Fantasyland for a few last rides! We grabbed a FP for Peter Pan and then headed for IASW! We waited a few minutes and were soon enjoying dolls from around the world!

After ISAW we a last visit to one of my favs! PhilHarMagic! I love, love, love it! I love that you smell the pie, I love that you feel like your flying and I love, more then anything, looking at Big Ben while Peter and the Darling children are standing in one of the hands and flying over London!

After PilHarMagic we had a little time to kill before Peter Pan so we headed over to Snow White!

Then it was back to Peter Pan! I love this ride! It seems so classic to me and I truly love flying in my pirate ship looking at scenes from my favorite Disney movie! It was the perfect last ride!

Yes, it was time to head out! But we needed lunch first! So, off to Casey’s we went! We had miniumal time and were very lucky that the line was long!

Hot dogs, frie, brownies and sodas in hand we were able to find a seat in the room with the bleachers!

We ate and the kids cried! Well, Jen’s kids cried! Mine, surprisingly, didn’t! Jessica and Justin had cried off and on from the night before. Jessica, as I said earlier, was nearly hysterical when we were leaving Kidani that morning!

This time Julianna was hysterical! Honestly, I’m not sure how she ate!

After lunch we headed toward the bus stop and bid farewell to MK!

We arrived back at Kidani and got our bags from bell service! As the bags came out the ME bus pulled up and we were on our way very soon!

Off to the airport, watching the goodbye video, bidding farewell to WDW and, of course, shedding a few tears!

Up next, the journey home and final thoughts!

oh my WORD was I behind!

And I didn't even know about the BW to BLT change. :confused3

Holy cats!

What great updates and that cake was stunning! How nice to read that it wasn't dry. :thumbsup2

Last day tears suck and hysterical, that sounds horrible all around. And your poor knee. OW!

Oh no!!! I am all weepy again about your niece and nephew :sad1: They are so lucky to have you as an Aunt to take them

Yikes....hope your knee got better....at least it was on the last day

Not looking forward to that last day....the key is to always have another trip planned....you know what I am talking about right? :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Oh mighty one who has 4 trips planned!!!! :worship:

Tracy

Awww your poor niece and newphew!! They had such an amazing time!!!!

I always grab Casey's to go as my last meal when I am at MK!!! It's so yummy!!!!!

What a great trip!! I'm going to miss your trip report but thankfully we have more trips to look forward too YAY!!!!

Can't wait for your final thoughts!

Oh - those poor kids. I feel so bad for them. All those tears mean one thing - the had the best time ever and you have created lifers! Strong work!

Loved you TR! Can't wait for the next one!

 Behind again! That Mad Hatter cake was gorgeous! Ugh for the poor falling lady... isn't Disney great at responding to stuff like that? Ariana bopped herself in the nose once while swimming at the Pop on our first trip and within seconds of her nosebleed, CMs were running to help. :thumbsup2

Each time you've described the tears you and your family had at leaving I feel like I'm going to start up too. Last day blues suck.

Oh and I miss Triple-P too. :guilty:

Oh, those poor little monkeys. I think Mary Ellen is right though, you have definitely created memories that will last a lifetime for them and probably fans for life as well! :goodvibes Like Tracy, I am a bit weepy thinking of them sobbing down the long hallway and into their fries. :sad1:

I get charley horses every once in a while too (and have the same thought re: bananas!) but thankfully haven't done the knee thing. Ouch!

Looking forward to final thoughts! And of course your next trip... which is coming up SOON! :upsidedow

Ahh, I completely understand being behind! I'm perpetually behind around here!

DD is going to be so excited about BLT!!!

The cake was beautiful and yummy too! I took that first bite with much anticipation, let me tell you! I kept thinking, "I hope it's not dry!" But it wasn't! Woo hooo!

I felt bad that they were so upset but at least I know they had a great time! My knee sucked!

Tracy

I know! I get emotional just thinking about it! But, I know they had a great time! They're dying to go back! :rolleyes1

I'm really glad it was the last day that I hurt my knee, it would have stunk to go through the whole week like that! I may have really needed an ECV!!!

4 trips!! :cool1: I'm so excited about every single one for different reasons! I'm starting to completely freak about the upcoming trip though! 11 more days! :scared1::woohoo:

Believe me, I understand!!!

The cake was beautiful and yummy! I felt so bad for that lady! Disney did a fabulous job taking care of her!

I get emotional just thinking about it! They had a fabulous time!

Triple-P where are you?

Oh, those poor little monkeys. I think Mary Ellen is right though, you have definitely created memories that will last a lifetime for them and probably fans for life as well! :goodvibes Like Tracy, I am a bit weepy thinking of them sobbing down the long hallway and into their fries. :sad1:

I hope they have fabulous memories that will last a lifetime! :cloud9: I think they do! They are definitely "lifers" now, Jen and John included!

That charlie horse was probably the worst one I've ever had! Tweaking my knee was not a good result!!!

Final thought coming soon! I can't believe DH and I leave in 11 days! You leave in week! Wooo hooo :cool1:

Those poor kiddos!! But you are right, at least you know they had a GREAT time! :lovestruc

Your knee! I hope it starts to feel better! At least it was at the END of the trip though, whew.

Casey's as a last meal? LOVE THAT!

They really had a great time and made lots of memories!

I was so glad I hurt my knee at the end of the week! That would not have been a good way to spend the week!

Casey's was yummy!!! I still didn't try the corn dog nuggets though!~

The end of your trip reminds me of the end of our last trip. We went with my parents and my brother. He has 4 girls, and I have a girl and a boy. My brothers two oldest girl and my daughter are very close. My brother moved 11 hours away a few years ago and they don't get to see each other very much now. At the end of our trip those girls just sobbed. It is so hard to see them so upset. I hope you all have many more trips together.

Aww! I hope you all had a great trip together! I really hope we get to have another trip with Jen, John and the kids! It was so much fun and we made lots of magical memories!

We were off to the airport and soon found ourselves checking our bags and heading toward the gate!

We had plenty of time thanks to ME so we stopped at the WDW shop and took a look in the Universal shop as well!

Then we headed through security easily and hopped onto the fake monorail! We we found a spot at the gate to sit and relax and then Jen, DD, Jess, Jule and I headed off for a snack!

Honestly, I’m not 100% sure what we got! Jess and Jule wanted some sort of smoothies or something and they took forever for the girl at airport counter service to make!

But soon we were back at our seat snacking and chatting about our wonderful vacation!

We were lucky enough have gotten early A boarding on our SW flight so when it was time to line up we jumped in line!

Onto the plane we went and off on an uneventful flight home!

We called for pizza when we got close to home and stopped on the way!

We were home soon and ate our pizza and were off to bed dreaming wonderful memories of our trip!
