Hello? I think we are missing the P&PP Party!!!

OK! That's enough Cali Grill---there's a party near here so get back on the monorail!!! That means you too, DM......yes, put down the pretty wine glass and follow me!

Since we had picked up our pre-ordered tickets earlier at the "fake" City Hall, we were able to march right into the MK! Now, remember my desire to be Pirates? I had even bought a Pirate costume! Well, the girls decided to be princesses, Daran wouldn't wear a dress, and they threatened to leave if I wore it. Party poopers--I'm going with the Fockers next time!
The really annoying thing is that when we got back to the room, they both tried the costume on, and wished they had worn it!

But the girls looked cute:

Now, if you've never been to a P&P party---it's really a neat change! Pirate music is everywhere and the entire Main street has treasure chests, skulls, etc going across the building in lights. It's a neat effect!

Someone hands us a "booty" bag. This led to 5 minutes of all of us making "booty" jokes....some at my expense! We get into the first booty line and score some cool necklaces which we put on.

Then Daran shouts: "hey--take a picture of me and Larry!!!"

Who's Larry???

Apparently it's a Cast member that Daran has decided to befriend...........I'm blaming it on the wine at Cali Grill, but here's their pic:

We want to see Capn Jack but Larry told us to come back after the parade as it was a 45 min wait then. (good tip BTW )

So we go ride a few rides: POTC of course and HM (which was cool at nite and no lines!)

Then we found a parade spot! This is a really neat parade and we all enjoyed it a bunch. A few shots:

(Jack looked in my direction and said "give me your number....and motioned the call me sign" I was momentarily thrilled....until I realized he was talking to the young woman behind me.

After the parade, we rushed back to Capn Jack despite Ab saying "He won't be here---he was just in the parade!!"

Well, Disney magic prevailed, and he was there with minimal line!

A CM noticed my shirt with Capn Jack's pic on it and she said "and Jack says he has no money!"

When we got to see Jack, he looked at my shirt and said "who's that??"
I said "why that's you!"
And he said "no, thaz Johnny Depp pretending he was me"


He was really "on" and we enjoyed the interaction:

Then we noticed these folks handing out glo-bracelets:

After riding a few more rides and collecting some more booty, we found a place for the fireworks.

"Magic and Mayhem"---notice this is the title of my TR too! WOW!

Fireworks review: I loved them---it's a neat, new theme with the pirates taking over the castle from the princesses and then Tink saving the day!
But I looked at BA and her eyes were watering....I asked her what was the matter and she said it was too much smoke. (we were close to the castle and it WAS smoky). She also asked if the explosions hurt the castle any. I said "no--I was sure they had planned them to look closer than they really were"
She said she liked "Wishes" better as this one was too violent.

Then, we went to get a snack and meandered back down Main Street:

All of a sudden, we were at the Bus stop! BA and I said "wait---we're not leaving! It's only 10:45!!"

Daran said we could go back if we wanted, but we ended up getting on the bus. Both of us later said that we should have stayed and let them go home!

But it was a good party! And we want to open AK tomorrow morning!

SO--BACK ON THE BUS EVERYONE!!

I love the pictures. My kids were very concern about why that man would want to dress like Tink. Great- now I have to figure out how to dance around that...

That guy dressed like Tink is hilarious!! I knew a few guys in college that would have done that, after a few drinks. Hey, maybe we can get Buzz to dress up in October... After we get a bottle or two of wine in him, maybe we can get Linnie to slip the Tink outfit on him!

Sounds like the party was a hit even though you ended yo leaving early. You fit in all the good stuff though.
