Okay this is a good one!

We were up early, ate breakfast in the room, thanks to Doug going and getting it from Topsiders. We got ready and headed to the stairs on deck 2 where they had them roped off, so you could not go to deck 1. You had to wait for them to be totally docked.

Doug and these two other guys were first in line and ready to go. It was fun to watch them as they put the rope down. Off they went first three off the boat. They all got lounge chairs, unberalla and hammocks. It was great.

We brought our own snorkel gear, but had to use CC vests. They have ones for little ones at the shack.
we all went snorkeling, even our four year old. He loved it. We saw some fish in the condo's they had made for them, we saw a the shipwreck, and the treasure chest, it had a grouper in it. We saw Mickey, and there was a red snapper there. There were not as many fish as St. Thomas but in a few years there will be.
No problem with this Sealice. We lived in Florida for 21 years and never heard of it.
The water is so clear, you think you are in a pool. We have beautiful pictures of the kids in the water.
Cookies BBQ is good, we had Hamburgers and Hotdogs, fruit. Love the fruit tables, here and on the ship. Plenty to eat. Don't forget your mugs here, or you will have to pay.
Swam till 3:00 and then I took the kids in for showers and to get them to the clubs to rehearse for the show they would be in.

Discover The Magic Show. All the kids that have been in the clubs during the week are in this little show. They all come marching in from the back to 'It's a Small World'. They all are wearing their tee-shirts, that say Discover the Magic. They are theirs to keep. They then sing with Mickey, and at the end They sing and sign the mouseketeer farewell song. Then they march back out the way they came in, and you can pick them up at the clubs.

Also because they attend three special classes. These are marked with the mickey, they received in our stateroom this night. A hat from the Oceanees Lab, and a lunch bag & water bottle from the Oceanees club. It was a nice surprise for the kids, and great way to remember the fun.

We made it to dinner being the show was 5:00- 5:30 and we had to be a Lumiere's for dinner at 5:30. This is the night you will hand out your tip envelopes. We took pictures of our servers and then handed them out with hugs and best wishes. It was kind of a sad night, knowing it would all end tomorrow.

The kids went and said good bye to their conselors, and we turned in our beeper.

We then attend the Farewell show. This was the funniest show they had. It was a great way to end. They again sang the farewell song, and it was over.

We then tackled Shutters. It was packed but not that bad. We bought most of the pictures, spent a fortune, and the went up on deck, to enjoy the sea air and the kids the pools. The kids only swam 10 minutes, then back to the room to change, and down to the atruim to say good bye to the cast and crew of the Magic, it was great meeting them up close, pictures, and the they lined the stairs as they sang 'Now it's time to say Good bye' Then pixie dust fell from the ceiling. It was great.

I then went to Guest services and checked out in less than 10 minutes.

Off to pack and get suitcases in the hall by 11:00. We made it and the kids passed out.
We slept like babies as we sailed into Cape Canaveral port.

What a wonderful trip! I'm sad as I finish reading your last day. It brings back memories of our last days on the ship. Everyday can't be a vacation. LOL! I wish it could be.

I have to see the farewell with the crew in the atrium. It sounds like fun. I remember on a December cruise the lighting of the Christmas tree and how special that was with "snow" falling from above.

Thanks for sharing.
Tina

you're making me cry and we havent even been on our cruise yet

That was so beautiful. I felt myself getting sad too as if I were on the ship too,(sniff, sniff):( ,lol.
Are you a writer? Because you sure describe your trip very well and to a tee!
Thanks for sharing such a great trip, all of the good tips too!:D

Anne, What a wonderful trip report. We go in 2 weeks and now I am really excited.

One question, did you see a lot of jelly fish at Castaway Cay? My son got stung a couple of weeks ago and he is now deathly afraid of them. If I tell him they are there I will never get him in the water.

Again, thanks for the great report.

Patti

Patti,
The coast of Florida is having problems with jellyfish, but we never saw not even a little one. We swam at all the islands, and not a one. Only beautiful fish and beautiful water.
The seagrass (this is on the bottom in some places on Castaway Cay) was quite stirred up at times and never had a problem with this Sealice either.
Just enjoy. It is BEAUTIFUL!
Anne:)
