I do believe I can handle that!

Lampy, you will need many beers by the time this cruise sails around to us. That is alot on your plate at one time. Reminds me of my family in 2000. We were living in a hotel for 6 months while our house was being repaired from water damage. During that time we had scheduled a Disney vacation at Boardwalk Villas. Since we had been eating at restaurants and staying in a hotel for months, we were not real excited about a hotel vacation!
( I gained about 30 pounds during that 6 months!)

Sounds like you will be packing and unpacking and packing again. I wish you luck! I will have a bucket of Miller ready for you!

This will be the BEST Magic cruise!

How about- ALL OF THE ABOVE? Just let me know where and when! Just look for the big guy in the lime green DIS shirt with a big smile on his face!

The following is for those of you that are planning to attend the Palo Brunch DIS Meet. I called today to reserve my times for my REAS package. I tried to get the brunch set up, but Debbie at reservations told me that I am only able to reserve brunch for two at this time. When I get on the ship, I will run to the reservation desk and try to book the rest. I will need names and cabin #s for those that want to attend. I am shooting for the first sea day (Monday) at 11:00 AM.
Right now we have 8 people signed up for this on Melanie's Thanksgiving Cruise website. So if you are reading this, and would like to attend the Palo Brunch DIS Meet, go to the website and sign up. The link is here in the thread , back a few pages.

When we get closer to the cruise date, I will ask you guys for your names and cabin numbers. If you can't find out your cabin number til you board, I will get you my cell phone number so that you can call me as soon as you board.
From what I have read, the Palo brunch is fantastic, and takes about 1 and 1/2 to 2 hours. I think the cost is $10 plus tip?

I hope some more of you decide to attend.

This will be THE BEST Magic sailing!

Well thanks for the beers......and I am so foreward to those Jombo shrimp at the buffet before the sailaway party.....Well WMiller86, we don't have to worry about moving twice, we haven't even put ours for sale yet!!! But just recieved notice from the sellers that they can close a month early!!! Mow we're up to the week of Sept 20th........right at 60 days prior to sailing......Being that it is going to take about a month and a half to make our new house the way we want I am thinking of hiring a moving company to move EVERYTHING while we are on the sailing...........what ya think?

Well, Willie a whole lot of stress!:worried:

I am human and I care about people...my sister is going through an ugly divorce involving an order of protection against the husband who has threatened to kill her for confronting him about his "girlfriend" and beat two of their dogs using a metal curtain rod while in their kennel carriers instead. He has an aggressive BLEEP of an attorney who got in my sister's face after the judge and her attorney left the chambers and threatened her. She is 100% disabled (Thoracic Outlet Syndrome) and her doctors couldn't figure why...it is usually caused by a traumatic injury like whiplash and she had not been involved in any car accidents. We finally put two and two together...the husband is the cause...which is good because now she can attempt to file a personal injury suit against him. :teeth:

In addition I have one client who has almost the same things happening in their life as my sister and the client's ex #1 was arrested during a recent visit when I was working with this client while the cllient has an order of protection against ex #2. Oh, and another client is on the verge of being hospitalized for their own protection because of sucidal thoughts. :sad2:

All of this has been in the last couple of weeks so needless to say I am a bit stressed. :hyper: I know that I cannot solve any of their problems, but at the same time I cannot help but being human and not be concerned about any of these folks.

Hopefully all of this will have wound down before the cruise...I am starting to see a hint of light at the end of that proverbial tunnel already...but I am absolutely taking anyone up on those offers of Bahama Mamas, Miller beer, or any of those nice little drinks the Magic might have to offer and of course those shrimp will help the drink go down better. :drinking1

I will look for Willie in that lime green shirt...personally I don't think I will be wearing one since green isn't my color...I'm more of a red so hey, we may just look a bit like Christmas if we stand next to one another. Before we sail I will decide what our family is wearing that first day and let you all know.

Willie...we did sign up for the Palo Brunch and our room is listed on Mel's site. It shouldn't change unless the upgrade fairy sprinkles some serious pixie dust on us and if that happens believe me...I will let everyone know.

So that is what is up in Illinois...if you believe in prayer or any kind of :goodvibes sharing...send them this way...my sister can use all the help she can get to get the (can't use those words in my brain here) husband. Thanks to my Turkey Crusie family!:grouphug:

Laura:Major prayers and pixie dust your way:hug:

Jumbo shrimp, bahama mamas, and watching the waves roll in as we are on the deck waiting for the meet! From the moment we pull into the cruise terminal, all stress is hereby forbidden!!

Speaking of stress, Lampy wouldn't you be stressed with movers putting your house together without you there? I am a worry wart, and would be thinking of that a lot on the cruise, so I vote no to the movers at that time.

That could be our new mantra for the cruise:

NO STRESS FOR YOU:tongue:

Yeah, Lampskies, I agree with Silver 7. You don't want to come home to a house full of boxes to unpack. Now, if they unpack for you, and put things in the dressers, etc, then that might not be too bad.

Laura, prayers to your sister. I have a sister that was nearly killed by her abusive boyfriend earlier this year. She did the protective order, etc. Now she has let him move back in with her...
So I understand and I know you must be stressed.

On a good note, Kelli and I sneaked away for a weekend to Galveston Island with some friends and no kids. Sure was nice. At the Hilton Sunday brunch yesterday, there were alot of people meeting to sail on a week cruise on the Carnival Elation out of Galveston. I was at the next table overhearing them laughing and getting excited, and I was thinking, that will be us in a short time!

Willie

Willie,

Thanks for your prayers! I really believe all of them are being heard...I was able to get her out of the house Saturday night to go to our church festival for a couple of hours. It so happened I spoke with a friend whose husband is an attorney and public defender in our county...looks like my sis may have not run out on the statue of limitations...it's from the time of discovery. He wasn't sure if you could sue your spouse though, but he felt confidant she should get permanent maintainence because of it. A few minutes later I looked up and there were 3 attorneys dealing...we were playing blackjack...and the state's attorney sat down followed by a county judge and we sat next to the former state's attorney/US attorney from our area at dinner. So, I feel that is a good sign.

Again, thanks for your prayers!

Momsgoofy.our prayers are with you and yours....Silver and WMiller, Being that we are going to be gone for 10 days I have a customer that IS a mover.....he will pack everything right down to the knives and forks and unpack them in the new house.......we are only moving 4 blocks away so we will have some of the stuff moved by then..... I'll definately need some of those 20 oz beers!!!

Lampskies,

Thanks! I appreciate the prayers for my sis...she can use them.

I hope all goes well with the move! I absolutely agree that having someone else do the moving is the way to go. That was the great thing about being military...they always moved ya.

Thanks again!

Wow, Lampy--getting to go on a cruise, and coming back to a new home?? How great is that?::yes::

What a fun time in your life!!

Guess what yall? There is another disney (ok touchstone) movie opening the weekend that we are sailing--a Nicolas Cage-Jerry Bruckenheimer film called National Treasure. It looks pretty good! :smooth:
