I just showed them the pamphlet I got in the mail along with my luggage tags. They scanned the bar code on the back a couple times and confirmed the number of people in my party. They direct you to one of several lines for different buses and scan that pamphlet a couple more times and then I got on the bus.

I saw some people waving their magic bands in front of a reader but I don't know if they also had their pamphlet scanned.

The OP is asking about resort to MCO DME. When using DME back to the airport, you should get a paper notification, in your room, the day/night before you check out. Bring that to the bus with you. I can't remember if you could use your MBs. No other ID is needed. The scanned info will let the driver know how many should be boarding with your reservation.

When arriving at MCO, and heading to your resort, yes, MBs can, and are, used.

one year we did not receive that in our info the night before our check out date so there was an issued at magical express and they had to fix it for us so we could get back to the airport as we were supposed to.
