Madison's Special Wish Foundation Trip/GKTW

Thank you so much. Yes this weekend is going to be awesome as long as she doesn't get a cast on her foot today. She has been limping for awhile so we went to the doctors 2 weeks ago and they put her in one of those broken foot shoes. Well, she is still limping and having pain in her foot. We go see her ortho doc today to see if we can find out what is going on.

Sounds like Madison has an exciting weekend ahead of her. Praying that the meds work and the fever and cough go away!

Love all the pictures of her - she is simply adorable.

What an adorable daughter you have!!! We are going to be in "the world" at the same time. We get there on the 28th. How very neat that she gets to swim with the dolphins. Sending lots of hopes and wishes that she stays healthy enough to enjoy her wonderful trip. :hug:

Well the verdict on the foot is - it's broken for sure. They were thinking it was just a stress fracture. We saw her ortho doc today and he took some more x-rays and it is or was broke. It is actually in the healing process, but she has to wear the fashionable boot for 2-3 weeks. Hoping it is better by then. We go back to her doctor tomorrow for them to check on her cough. Still running a low grade fever and cough is not getting better at all.

Doesn't she look so excited about her new boot :sad2:

Aw...man! That totally stinks!!!

I have a picture for you guys...Just to show her that she is not alone...I am sporting one too. :( (ignore the croc with the sock, that was a joke part of the picture! HA!)

I highly recommend Extra Strength Gold Bond Powder to put on her foot under the boot/sock so that it doesn't get too itchy.

Bless her heart!!! :hug::hug::hug::hug:

Thanks for the advice. She says it is very hot and itchy. I will have to get some of that tomorrow and try it. :flower3:

It really helps a lot...but don't let her use too much of it...it gets clumpy...but if you put a fine layer of it on at night and in the AM, it really helps. The extra strength kind. Mine is in a green bottle. It has anti-itch and stuff that dries the skin out a bit, which is good - because it is HOT in there.

Tell her I am so sorry and I hope she feels better!! :) :flower3::flower3:

Well we had our little infomational thing today that we did with our wish foundation. It pretty much was just an informational session that the county held for one of there departments. What they do is have charity's come in and talk about there charity and answer questions and then the employees have an oppurtunity to donate money through there payroll checks. It was kind of fun. I got to tell why we love our foundation and got to inform people about Job's Syndrome. It was very emotional and I am not one to get up in front of people, but I really feel like I made a difference today.
Then we went back to the doctors for her cough and they put her another antibiotic. I mean really how many antibiotics can one person be on and still be sick. Madison is now on 5. Yes I typed 5 and it isn't a typo. I am getting (well actually am already there) so frustrated. I am going to give this one a chance to work and then if she still has her cough come Tuesday her doctor said to call. I am going to do better than that I am going to take her in and demand that they admit her and put her on some IV antibiotics. I mean am I wrong? The poor baby has been coughing for 3 weeks now and by the time Tuesday comes around it will have been almost a month since it started. First it was a virus. Ok they last 7-10 days. Then it was a sinus infection and we went on antibiotics for that and only have 3 days of that left. So it should be gone or at least getting better. She just sounds like she is drowning when she coughs and now doesn't want to cough because then she gets chocked and throws up. I will have my baby cough free before we leave. Sorry to go on and on, but I am so mad right now. :mad:

Still dealing with the cough. Not sounding better at all.
Want to take a minute and thank those of you who are following us on this journey and especially thank those of you who are praying for my baby girl. :hug: It means more than you know. We did the informational session on Friday and in talking to them and telling them about Madison and Job's Syndrome I realize just how much she has been through and goes through on a daily basis. You really don't see it yourself when you are just doing it because you love them. I guess if I really think about it for a minute it is stressful, but I don't really think about it much. I just do what needs to be done to help my girl.
We also did a car show this weekend. Madison and one other kid was invited to judge the cars and pick there favorite. All the proceeds went to A Special Wish Foundation Inc. Madison is enjoying all the attention and I have to say I think she deserves it.
Thanks again for all the prayers and for following us.
