Madison's Special Wish Foundation Trip/GKTW

Yesterday I got a pm about Madison being involved in the Big Give. We were thankfully suprised. Grandma even cried. This is something that we are going to try to get involved with when we get back from our MAW trip. Thank you BG people for including my princess in this wonderful program you have started.

We have been following your report and loved seeing how excited she gets when she gets her gifts. It is a wonderful thing they have started and we are going to get involved with it when we get back from our wish trip. Hope you have a wonderful time and can't wait to see more pics.

So we went this morning to get Madison's IVIG (for her immune system) infusion and they couldn't do it because she is still running a fever, has a productive cough, is all stuffy and now her throat is hurting. Now we are waiting to see the ped. dr. this afternoon to make sure she doesn't have pnuemonia and/or strep throat. At least when she is sick she doesn't "feel" sick, which is actually part of the Job's Syndrome. She gets pnuemonia and doesn't appear to have anything wrong and wants to play. She just gets very tired faster. So as long as she is feeling ok and up to it I think we are going to play hooky tomorrow and head to the zoo.

Well we are back from the doctors again. Madison still running fever, cough is not getting better and throat is still hurting bad. So doctor said she now has thrush and her rapid strep test came back negative. They sent us to get a chest x-ray and blood work. We are now waiting for them to call us with those results to see if we are getting admitted to hospital this afternoon.
On a good note, as long as Madison is doing better, talked to our wish coordinator today about the dinner that Madison is attending this Tuesday to get all the details about her wish trip and they are sending a limo to pick us up. Madison is going to be so suprised. Will take pics and post when we get home that evening.

Do you think you could go to MNSSHP on your trip?

We probably can, but we did that in '07 when we were there. We were told that they have a special Halloween party at GKTW. With everything GKTW has for us to do I think we will skip the MNSSHP this time.

Yes they do Christmas ever Thursday. We are so excited about that also. Santa, gifts and even snow.

Thank you. We think she is pretty cute also. She is doing ok. We were actually at the ER this morning because she started throwing up. Hasn't thrown up since then and they said she has a sinus infection. So we are on another antibiotic which makes us 3 for the next 10 days. Oh well at least we aren't admitted and she should be feeling a lot better in a couple days.

She is very strong, no matter how sick she is she never complains about hurting She is a trooper. I can't wait til the gifts start coming in from the Big Give for her. She loves to get any kind of mail and when they start to come in she is going to be so so excited.

She keeps playing phone tag and said she isn't comfortable leaving a message. So we will see what happens. If we do get it I will be sure to post some pics.

Thanks for joining. I am trying to keep the ptr up to date with all that is going on. Today we are at the hospital for one of our infusions, her yearly bone density and then an appointment with her immune doc. Long day, but gives me a chance to update here and catch up a little on some other ptr's.
