Made the decision today! Going 11/30/02!

Hi everyone,

Well I did it! I just made the decision to see the world all decked out for Christmas.
Called CRO today and got POR for the AP rate. We stayed there in '99 and loved it.
Does anyone have any tips or advice for POR? How about room location suggestions?
Do they have hairdryers in the rooms there (I can't remember)

I'm taking DD but not telling her until the morning we are leaving. It will be an early Christmas present.

That is so great! I could never wait that long to tell my DDs. I tell them as soon as we book the room. Have a great time! Sorry, don't know anything about POR.

We'll be there from 12/4 - 12/7, and 12/13-12/14 (DCL cruise in the middle!).

We stayed in PO Riverside Alligator Bayou last year, and loved it. We love walking, so we don't care whether our room is close the food court or the bus stop, and the grounds are lovely, so it's a very nice walk!

We made no specific requests for our room last time or this, except for non-smoking, which I insist on. I think the "luck of the draw" as far as rooms go is part of the fun of a trip. I'm not worried about the view because I'm not going there to sit in my room and look out the window. I don't care about first or second floor, nor do I care if I have a corner room. We thoroughly enjoyed the food court (loved Boatwright's, had breakfast there twice and dinner once). The quiet pools are very nice. We didn't go to the main pool other than to look around. We're a "post-child" couple so we didn't use the playground, either, although we did check it out in preparation for future trips with granddaughter.

Bus transportation wasn't a problem, and we were there Memorial Day Weekend, 2001, which was very crowded.

I can't wait to go back!

I didn't know about the group going to MVMCP on the 3rd. Do you have any info....I'd love go...we were planning on going anyway.

Hi Zoo-keeper, Under theme parks & attractions there is a thread that says Important mvmcp. i think it is the second or third thread. it has the dates listed for the party. If you click on dec 3 there is info about the group meeting that is planned. if you are interested in another date, check the other dates. Hope to see you and your dd. Patsy
