Made my PS..seemed strange though....

Hi all! I just made my PS for Dec 23 and 24. Margaritaville and Mythos. Bernie was really nice and told me to call the week before just to make sure no conference blocked out times and such so we don't show up and have no table..made sense. The part I found strange was he only took my DH's first name..no last name, no hotel name, no home phone number..nothing. Then when I asked for a confirmation number, he said there wasn't one..."It's in the computer". Is this right? Should I call back, reconfirm and get a number? Anyone could walk up to the counter and say "Hi. I have a PS, names Steve." There goes my dinner! I need advice here folks! HELP!

I've made several PSs over the last couple of years and that's how they've always been, too !! First time I asked the woman for a confirmation # and she said, "just tell them you made the reservation with Kim" I didn't feel very confident about it, but everything was fine ! Just double checked my PSs for Jan at Mythos and TchoupChop and no, no confirmations #s, I know TchoupChop asked for a phone # and last August they actually called my cell the day before to confirm - it does seem a bit strange, doesn't it? I don't remember them not asking for my last name, though, but maybe they didn't and I just don't remember!

bjakmom, Thank you for answering! I guess we'll just go with it! I told Steve, if anything, we are onsite and have our FOTL cards for dinner as well. If we have to wait a bit, it would be okay. I was just wanting to get the PS made since we will be there over a busy Holiday weekend! Happy Holidays all!

Everything should be fine, however, I would double check just in case.

We made reservations through the RPR concierge (they supposedly transferred my call to the proper people to make the reservation) in July for the character breakfast in August. Same thing, no confirmation number, didn't take our last name or phone number, didn't even ask us where we were staying. I thought it suspicious too. So, the day before the breakfast, I stopped at Confisco's to double check. They had no record of our reservation. They told me to check the dining cart - no record. Tried RPR concierge - no record.

However, they were wonderful. Went back to Confisco's and they let us have any time we wanted for the breakfast. Even let us change our date, as we had decided to go to Sea World the day of our reservation because IOA was closing early due to corporate event.

So, while it should be ok - I would just call back and double check that it is on their books somewhere. That way you can rest easy knowing they have a record of your reservation.

Thanks for the tip Goofy! I will call when we get to Orlando, before we head out on our Cruise, then I can rest easy on board! It does seem very odd that they don't seem to get enough information or give a confirmation. I guess every system is different. Thanks to all and Happy Holidays!

Margritville do only take the first name at least they did with us last march but also at Lombards in USO we made reservation same time and when I checked no record for lombards but they where great and gave us table etc at time we wanted
