I made my first tee shirts, and I was surprised that they came out so nicely! I'm a little afraid to wash them before we wear them; I prewashed them before I ironed on the designs, and I want to lock the color in, but I'm so afraid my hard work will get washed away before anyone can wear them! I have Amy's transfers, so the designs are drying for 24 hours now. Maybe I'll start with just washing one of them? Some tell me that they will be okay!

Here they are:

This is on the front left pocket area. It says "Four parks, six days, one family"

Those are great! I made my first this weekend and they turned out great as well, it was so exciting to see all the great designs I had picked in real life on a t-****. Even my ever so skeptical DH was impressed. I plan on finishing the rest of mine this week and hope to post pictures of the final results.

They will be okay! I was in your shoes before our trip.
The kids did not like the stiff feel of the shirts since no fabric softener is used when originally washing them. So I rewashed them before we left.
I dried them on low and removed them promptly when finished.

I made about 30 shirts last summer and they have been washed a google (my DS4's favorite word right now) times and they still look great!!! Used Amy's transfers as well.:thumbsup2 They are the best!

Thanks for the encouragement! I washed them all, and they came out great! The first one that I made, I don't think I ironed for long enough. The edge of the design was coming up, but I just re-ironed it, and it's as good as new!

Now if only the two additional blank shirts I had ordered had come in; UPS said that I wasn't home to receive them, but they didn't even ring the doorbell! Or leave a note of any kind. I have a suspicion that they never even tried to deliver it, but just said so online. My flight is tomorrow night, so I guess I'll just have to finish those two in the land of the mouse. (at least the room has an iron!)
