Made my AKV reservation

We got our reservation at AKV for the new years week. It took us about an hour to get through to make the reservations. We kept getting the busy signal on the 800 and the local number. It sounded like all AKV owners were calling to make the reservations when DVC opened up today.

Fortunately for us, we got our 2 bedroom unit and 2 separate studios for our whole family to vacation together.

How was other AKV owners experience is getting the dates you wanted?

Same story, an hour on the phone, got savanna view, 2 bedroom for week of Thanksgiving.

Disney needs a NEW PHONE SYSTEMS VENDOR!!!!

I got through immediately. I got the 1 BR for the dates I wanted, but they didn't have any savannah views left, only standard. I asked what is standard, and she said pool or parking lot. That's like heaven or he--. I hope I get a pool view.

I got both weeks I wanted.

The first one I wasn't too worried about as it was the last week of September. I got a 2 bedroom Savannah view.

Next, I thought I would be crazy and give Easter week a shot and I got it! I was so excited...I didn't call until about 50 minutes after the lines opened, I got a busy signal a few times. Once I got through, I waited for about 10 minutes on hold and then I had great success.

I thought it would be a much longer wait on hold, and then I thought I might not be able to get that Easter week. So I am really happy!
