Made FP reservations but question

If I want to go in and take a few people out of a fast pass I picked and put them on another how do I do it? I tried previously and had to redo everything, I cant risk that again. Also they overlap like one ends at 1:40 and one starts at 1:40 will this work? They are all this way but kind of all in the same area, I have seven dwarfs at 12:40 to 1:40 and then Peter Pan at 1:40 to 2:40, and then Haunted Mansion at 2:40 to 3:40?

Thanks now what If I dont use a fast pass that the rest of my family uses as I dont like coasters. Will it still count, can I still go on the next FP right after it and can we still all get new ones when they are done if I dont use mine?

You can go on any FP when the window opens regardless of what you've used. To make additional passes at a kiosk later, any passes that you haven't used you'll have to go on your app and cancel it to allow the cm to make new ones for you.

If you don't use any and your group did, the. You can just cancel all of yours and select 3 new ones

You can just let any FP expire.
You can even CHANGE it to another attraction AFTER it has expired.

But, if you are ABSOLUTELY SURE you do not want to use that FP for anything else that day,
go to the FP entrance of the attraction that you do not want to ride with the rest of your group, scan yourself in like everybody else and (I suggest that you walk through the queue with them) then tell the CM that you decided not to ride. The CM will allow you to exit without riding. No problem at all doing so.

That way, if you all want to get a 4th FP+, there will be no problems.

We actually didn't use our PotC FP because it was a short line a bit earlier than our window, so we just hopped on. After we used the other two FPs, DD and I went to a kiosk and picked out a 4th FP, it alerted us that we would be canceling the PotC FP, which we agreed to (that one was expired anyway) and we got our new FPs...
This was during Easter week

Nobody will think anything about you walking the queue and not riding.
I suggested that you do that not just for the FP situation, but so you can be a part of the fun of the group experience.
The "walk the queue with the group and not ride" is a very frequent discussion topic here.
Many guests to that.

BTW, there are no wooden coasters at WDW.
(I'm guessing you mean "Big Thunder Mountain" which is a classic steel coaster.)
