Made a credit card payment-Error

I just made a payment on my credit card. I do the same thing every month. It goes through a security check and then I hit submit and it posts. This time after I hit submit I got an error saying something went wrong and it couldn't be processed. However, when I check my bank account, the payment went through and the funds were debited from my account. I called the credit card company and he says there is no payment showing on my account and to wait 72 hours to see if anything shows up. Is this normal? I'm worried that I'll have problems showing it being paid and that money is going to be in limbo for who knows how long.

I would take a screenshot of what your bank account says showing it went through.

I also think it will probably post to your credit card within the 72 hours.

When I do online payments, the money comes out automatically immediately. The actual recording days to allow "x" number of hours or days to be posted to my account.

If it pulled from your account it should definitely show posted within 72 hours.
