Becca says I have been a terrible hostess. So I brought snacks. How's about a little fondue, friends?

That's so much better! And I'll take the flaming Turtle too with lots of strawberries.

1st, you do NOT want to know about cream chipped beef. According to my dad, it was invented during WWII when everyone was on food rations. It's processed chipped beef (that is a weird purplish red color--definitely not natural) in a white "sauce" (flour and water gravy), usually served over toast. Often referred to as "S.O.S" (that's Poo On a Shingle). Sound tasty???;)

2nd, please don't envy my yard work!! 'Cause really, I no longer have a yard!!
We had torrential downpours last night, so I was tramping around trying to see how much topsoil and sod I need to order to regrade our side yard, which has totally eroded this winter! Our house is one more heavy rain away from sliding down the hill. I am scared I'll pull up one day and see it floating in the creek!!!

Sorry I asked about chipped beef.:scared: That made my stomach hurt and I threw up a little. Yuck!

I have a mess too, maybe not as big as yours though. We've had lots of snow and rain this winter and my poor sandy soil didn't like it. I love yardwork though, I even miss raking leaves!

Yay!

This is the one place I wouldn't feel right to going solo (coming from the girl that eats a japanese hibachi tables solo) so hopefully i can convince Shaun soon.

Just make the reservation and drag him. My dh didn't want to go at all, but now he keeps asking when we can go back.

The perfect hostess serves wine too.

Well, not really sure if this stuff is wine, but that's what they call it.

Judi, I love Boonesfarm! The strawberry hill is my fave. I haven't had any since college though. At that time I had a huge straw and cap that just screwed onto the bottle. I wonder what happened to that?:scratchin Throw in some Mad dog 20/20 and it's a real party!

Wow. Reading that made me feel like a teenager again! Minus the size 6 body and really bad clothes. I had many Mad dog-fueled...adentures???

Anyone remember Zima?

I liked my Zima with a shot of watermelon shnapps in it. Good times, most of which I can't remember.:confused3 I know someone who still drinks Zima, in public. And he's supposedly a man!:scared1:

Is Ripple still around?

Elizabeth, It's the big one. I'm coming to meet ya.

I know I'm getting tired and need to go to bed because I just read that TWICE as "the girl that eats japanese hibachi tables).:rotfl:

It was a definite WTH moment. Of which I have many. (Rob--- CAN it. In advance :ssst: ).
Its ok. It was a complex sentence that probably wasn 't worded right. I like to confuse people sometimes ;)

Well...its 45 minutes away so its kinda hard to get him in the car for that long without letting him know where we are going. Its ok, I'm going to Kyoto by myself tomorrow night more than likely and I'll enjoy my japanese food :) (That is unless I find a friend to go with me)

Thank you. However I think I'll have to pass ;)

Man I wish I was there. I would go with with you. Japanese food is the best although I cannot do sushi.

I am suspicious of pretend wine. :sad2:

Hi Shannon! I miss ya, lady! I do indeed remember Zima. Is that stuff still around?

I liked my Zima with a shot of watermelon shnapps in it. Good times, most of which I can't remember.:confused3 I know someone who still drinks Zima, in public. And he's supposedly a man!:scared1:

Oh my, if I ever meet that man I will have fodder to mock him with! :yay:

Judi, is this a special code you got going on? :confused3 Or is my new name Elizabeth, and you're coming to meet me in Chicago? :woohoo:

I am not familiar with Japenese food. It's name conjures up nauseating images of Sushi and seaweed. How ya doin', Granny?

Hi Melissa! :wave2: What's new with you?

Bonnie! Surely you recognize those as the immortal words of Fred G. Sanford, ripple drinker extraordinaire.

OHHHHH!!!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

No I did not recognize those words, but Rob, what a perfect response! You are more clever than I originally gave you credit for! ;)

Hey, I'm at the library and guess who I just ran into? That's right...Shanaynay!! Looking fabulous, as usual. Just thought you would like to know. ;)

1. WTHeck is that supposed to mean? I'm more than just a pretty face Bon Bon! :snooty:

2.

Just got home a little bit ago from the library-- saw the Bonster there on her lunch break. Riley was kind enough to give her his "I went to the library today" sticker, but then got sad in the car because he wanted it back!! :rotfl: Kids, I tell ya! But a nice homemade chocolate milkshake later, and he was cured. It's a miracle.

Ok, glad I'm not the only one who missed the reference. I think I've only seen that show once or twice.

"Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Where are we going? Will I like it?" Yup. Sounds like fun car trip to me!

1. Maybe if you weren't watching Noggin all the time.
2. Ok, now I'm confused -- which comment are you referring to -- the WTHeck question or the eyeroll?

Wow, you are a pop culture guru! If we ever play a useless trivia game I want you to be on my team.

The eyeroll, 'natch!

Of course, he went by "Roberta" then. Just thought you'd want to know exactly what you were getting...:rolleyes1

1. Ok, when I first read what Bonnie posted, I thought she meant that I (me, Rob, personally) "would like to know". Since I could obviously care less :rolleyes1, I responded to her quote with an eyeroll. Upon rereading her post, however, I think she meant the collective Chatters "you".

2. Hey! I was kind of hotT! (even if I did dress funny)

Is that Mira Sorvino? Romy and Michellesque kind of. That is exactly how I remember the 80s, except I remember lace gloves being involved.:rolleyes1
