Kinda like the Disney's Christmas Day Parade. There is virtually no parade and all musical actsEach year Macy's seems less like a parade and more like a stage show of various musical acts/dancers. Typical parades we like to watch march down a street with floats/balloons/marching bands. Macy's seems to show less and less of that and look more like a production number in front of the cameras.
I like to watch the parade on YouTube. Local stations in NY carry it, very nice traditional parade. Each year Macy's seems less like a parade and more like a stage show of various musical acts/dancers. The only local station in New York that airs it is WNBC. WCBS stopped showing it altogether beginning last year.I like to watch the parade on YouTube. Local stations in NY carry it, very nice traditional parade.
I just grab the first broadcast I see.The only local station in New York that airs it is WNBC. WCBS stopped showing it altogether beginning last year.
I love the music and the Broadway shows they showcase. It's the only way I, and others according to social media, will get to see a number or two from big name shows/acts. I find balloons and marching bands kind of boring. Each year Macy's seems less like a parade and more like a stage show of various musical acts/dancers.
