Macy's Parade is very Gen X

This was the first time in a while I haven't been like "Who?" regarding the performers. There were some that elicited that, but I recognized a lot more this year. :)

Next year Disney needs to step it up… get some better balloons!
Buzz was newly redone. They had Minnie and Bluey.

To be fair, all the balloons were flown at the lowest possible level (and I'm pretty sure the way the wind picked up the handlers were wishing they'd just been cut) due to the winds.

My daughter (who is 34) and going to College in Germany is hosting a watch party with a group of her International Program classmates, most age 18 to 25. She has been texting. They find the whole Macy's Parade bizarre.

....and she probably had a hard time explaining Jewel and how she lived in the backdrop of the float...as an Alaskan treasure

Each year Macy's seems less like a parade and more like a stage show of various musical acts/dancers. Typical parades we like to watch march down a street with floats/balloons/marching bands. Macy's seems to show less and less of that and look more like a production number in front of the cameras.

Kinda like the Disney's Christmas Day Parade. There is virtually no parade and all musical acts

I like to watch the parade on YouTube. Local stations in NY carry it, very nice traditional parade.

I love the music and the Broadway shows they showcase. It's the only way I, and others according to social media, will get to see a number or two from big name shows/acts. I find balloons and marching bands kind of boring.
