Macy's Parade and Grinchmas: times?

When do they have the Macy's Parade at Universal ? (time of day) and is Grinchmas all day long? If you only had one day to spend at both parks just to enjoy the holiday sights how would you recommend doing it?

The Macy's parade begins December 12th and starts at dusk (around 5ish) and Grinchmas is all day, but they tell the story in 3 parts throughout the day as a Whoville Celebration and end at night with a tree lighting ceremony.

This will be the first year we've done both and we're taking our 1 year old so he can see "snow" at Mt Crumpet, so honestly I'm not sure how we're going to do it. We may end up going for the weekend rather than just one day like we initially planned.

Any ideas on if we can see both the parade and the tree lighting on the same day anyone?

December 12th?? That makes it really hard to plan for next year. I was thinking about spending one night at Universal to see the holiday sights there before heading over to Disney.

Seeing the parade AND the tree lighting is nearly impossible, since both are around 5p. If you find out that the Macy's parade starts earlier, then you have a chance. Otherwise slim-none.

we decided to go ahead and stay onsite for the whole weekend. I want to see both so we'll go down on Friday morning and stay through Sunday.

ughhhhhhh!!!!! 5:00 for the Macy's Parade?!?!? That probably means they won't have the 5PM GB Show...I heard they took out the 2:00 GB Show for the Mardi Gras parade...so...

As long as they add the 11:30 show...I'll survive...but if they have only 3 shows...


Anyway, thanks for the info too...I was wondering this, myself.
