Hi,

First time posting. I've been to Universal numerous times, but I have a question because I've never been during the holidays.

I have called USO and found out that the parade is at 5:00 p.m., but she also said that the tree lighting is at 5:30 p.m. The rub is that these two events are in different parks. Can anyone verify this information? I find it very hard to believe that Universal would make it hard (if not impossible) to do both in the same day. I'll be there on Jan. 1, and IOA is open until 9:00 p.m. Why would the tree lighting be so early?

Thanks everyone!

they do this every year. the tree lighting is at 5:30 because sunset is a little after 5:00 this time of year. the 2 events are close so the crowds are dispersed between the 2 parks.
