I need help. I really like the Mac "umbrella strollers", but what are the differences? What I like about them is the wider seat and that it reclines. DD will be 28 months when we go. Help me make a choice.

I would go with a Quest, this is what we have for dd (now 4). It has a good recline but doesn´t go completely flat, has a good size basket (but can´t put a big bag under, what I do is use lots of zip lock bags and you would be amazed at all the stuff that can be put in there.

Usually dd doesn´t nap, but after a couple of Disney days, where I wake her up earlier than usual and goes to bed later, so she has fallen asleep in it many times and her feet don´t dangle off the foot rest.

The Volo is the least expensive, doesn´t recline, and I am not sure how would I feel about dd sitting a lot of time in it, I feel that the edge of the seat might hurt in the back of her legs, since the Quest has a seat extender, there is a fold of fabric and it has never left a line on dd´s legs, besides, when we went on the Disney cruise and had to go through inmigration at the wee hours, dd was still asleep and she was curled in her seat, and the seat extender came really handy then.

It also has a deep seat so dd is really comfy in it.

Sorry for the messy post, but definetly, the Quest is a great stroller.

We have the Volo and love it. But our son is older and doesn't need the recline feature. It's a comfy stroller for him! :)

Volo is a basic umbrella with no recline and features a mesh seat.

Triumph has a small recline, but a shallow seat.

Quest has a deeper recline, deep seat, and seat extenders to make the seat deeper.

Ryder has a Quest's seat and features with larger-sized wheels.

Techno is a full-service stroller with full recline, larger basket, and large wheels.

For a 2-year-old I would go for the Quest. You can pick up old ones for a nice discount. For a similar stroller with a smaller price tag, check out Inglesina's Trip. It rocks.

We have a Triumph, and love it. It's got a deep seat, it reclines, has a nice canopy and basket, but is the second least expensive. I would have gone with a Volo if it reclined. Our son is 23 months. It folds VERY thin, too, and has the carry strap. I tried out the Quest, and it was "cushier" in the seat, but too heavy for a travel stroller, for us. If we didn't travel by airplane, I'd consider it. I got the Mac organizer that straps onto the handles, too, and that works great. You can carry a lot in it.

We have a triumph as well. We purchased it before our last trip to WDW in 2003. I often tell people that it was my best pre-disney investment. It is lightweight, handles well (one handed even), and easy to carry thanks to the strap. It is also durable (used all the time through 2 kids since its purchase).
Last thing, the long handles are a real back saver. All that said, if the Quest has a better recline than the Triumph, I would look at the Quest first.

We have the Techno XT and the main selling point for us was the adjustable height handles (DH is 6'3" +/-) and he always felt like he was hunching over with all the other umbrella styles.

We got last years model earlier this year at allbeebaby at a pretty significant discount so shop around!

I have the Quest. What I did though, was take my daughter, then 14 mths. to the store and I placed her in the different ones. She actually picked her own because when I took her out of the quest, that is the one that she walked back over to and wanted me to put her back in it. I agree with Mex Mouse about the seat extender for her legs. That is also another reason why we chose the Quest.

Hope this helps. ::yes::

I have the Volo and love it, but my DD is 6, and hasn't used a stroller for anything but Disney trips since she was 3. For a 2yr old, I would go with the Quest.

My DD just turned 3. We have the Triumph. Love it!!!!

I did what one of the other posters did. We went to the "baby store" and I put her in all the strollers. I let her choose which one she liked.

She chose the Triumph. Got it in pink of course. :teeth:

I have a 4 yr old son who is 40lbs and 44 inches tall so we are buying the quest for our trip to DW as the weight limit is 50lbs.
