With all of the great reviews on here for the Volvo I was suprised to see it doesn't recline. Has anyone found this to be a problem for them? I like that it goes to 55lbs, but I don't know if that is a good trade off for no reclining. I have a 35lb. 6 year old and a two year old.

That is correct, the Volo (no relation to the car maker) does NOT recline; it is a sling seat. If you want a reclining Mac, there are plenty of them; a Triumph won't cost a whole lot more if you shop around.

We just bought the Volo for our 4 year old DD and since we don't plan for her to nap in the stroller, the fact that it doesn't recline it not a problem. We chose the Volo because it is lightweight and folds up so easily and is easy to carry on trams etc..

Both of my kids have slept in the Volo just fine without the reclining, of course, they have also been know to fall asleep sittin up in grocery carts. :confused3 :rotfl: I think I could possibly lean them up against a wall if I had to.

At any rate, the 5 point harness is great for keeping them from falling over if they do fall asleep. It's rather like sleeping in their carseat, if that's a helpful analogy. We also don't use the seat cushion at WDW since the mesh breathes so much better and seems to help keep them cool.

Like Disneylvr, we didn't plan for them to nap in the stroller on our trip. The ease of carrying the Volo is the reason I think it gets such raves. It is SO lightweight and you can just sling it over your shoulder with the carry strap. It's really nice for the busses.

Hope you have a good trip and find a stroller that works well for your kids!

We picked the Truimph over the Volo for just that reason... (and that, at the time, the Volo only had a hand strap and not the shoulder strap... I LOVE the shoulder strap!)

It's not much more expensive and just as easy to carry... My kids slept in them all the time and I felt better staying out late for fireworks, etc. knowing that they had a decent, comfortable rest in them in the afternoon!

Okay, so now this time I KNOW it says Volvo - for sure.

Sorry, carry on. These VOLO posts just always get my attention - I always think they say Volvo.

I need a day off. :lmao:

I have been reading every website as VOLVO. Oh well. :rotfl:

Thanks for the reviews. :)

The Volo's "regular" position is just about as reclined as the Triumph. It's more that the Triumph sits up and the Volo doesn't. If you want a true recline you would need to go with the Quest.

That's also why we bought the Triumph. It doesn't recline flat like a baby stroller would but it's recline is more than the Volo's normal seat sits. DS sleeps in it comfortably all the time. I'm so glad we chose it. It is easy to fold and carry too.

I just remembered you can control how reclined the seat is on the Triumph with the strap in the back.

Actually I like the Volo stroller. More than the reclining was the fact that the seat is mesh so when my daughter sits in it, spills on it, or it rains, I can just wipe it down and be on my way again with a clean seat.

I think the Triumph has a fabric seat. No?

We LOVE our Volo!! I bought it last year specifically for our WDW trip (with a 6 & 2 year old). It is the most lightweight, easiest to fold, stroller I have ever used. Both of my kids ride in it comfortably and DH doesn't mind pushing it because the handles are tall enough. I got it with a hot pink seat and I never lost it in any stroller parking lot because it was so different. I can't say enough good things about the Volo!
