I have a large family. 5 kids. I have two kids that will need a stroller and want to buy a maclaren. Right now, thinking of buying the double stroller.

Need to know the difference between the models when it comes to recline position? Is it different for doubles? I must be able to recline them and I looked at a model at Babies R Us (the sales person didn't know anything about it!) and had trouble figuring it all out.

Which ones recline the most?

Also-- curious what you all think about two strollers versus a double. Thing is, the baby will be with the 3 year old for the most part and if we split up, will have one person driving the stroller. I thought about stroller clips, but have heard so many differing views. What do you think?

Thanks so much for your help! :goodvibes

I need to purchase soon for upcoming activities.

Just bought a maclaren triumph last week. Got it for $89 on Albeebaby.com. LOVE IT!! My daughter is 4 and will be 5 by our trip to Disney in Dec. This stroller holds up to 55 lbs - she is only 39. Used it at a local amusement park this past weekend and it is a dream!! Reclines just enough for her to take a little snooze. The basket isn't huge, but I always carry a backpack and intend to send anything that we buy at WDW back to the resort using their service. Anyway - the stroller turns easily and folds down like a breeze. The handles are high enough for me and my dh. We are short though, but they are higher than a regular umbrella stroller. My daughter just loved the padded seating. Great stroller!!

I have a volo and a quest and I love them both. The volo has no recline at all. The quest has a nice recline. I don't have a double because of the age gap in my kids, but if they were closer I would go for the double for sure. That way only one stroller needs to be carried on the buses and you can have another set of hands just for the kids. They are wondrful strollers and I would buy another one in a second.

I also prefer the baby jogger brand over the Maclarens. The recline was better, bigger sun shade, adjustable handle height, larger basket & MUCH easier maneuverability.

I own a Maclaren Triumph, Maclaren Quest and Maclaren Twin Triumph.

Triumph - limited recline - per Maclaren, good from 6 mo plus (DS was happy in this starting at about 7 mo)

Quest - more recline - per Maclaren, good from 3 mo plus

Twin Triumph - full flat recline - separate for each seat. Very nice. Good from newborn up. This is what I would recommend, and use right now for DS at 3 + new DD (at 1 month).

It's easier to have 1 stroller, that one person can push, than 2, with your ages.

are you sure that isn't the twin Techno? I thought the Techno was the only one with full recline.

I've only had Maclaren singles, but I wanted to tell you another brand of double that I LOVE...Phil and Ted :)

I do like baby jogger. We have a double city mini but I have to say that it was too bulky for us on the buses. I agree to all the points about the recline, sun shade and storage though. I'm looking for something that will collapse a little more compact. Thanks though! :goodvibes

I think the full recline would be best. But is it the Twin Triumph or the Twin Techno with a full recline?

Thanks for the opinion on 1 versus two strollers. I think one stroller would be much easier.
