Hi-I have a few stroller questions.First off I wanted to know the difference in the Maclaren Models. Why are some 400.00 and some 250.00? WHich twin model do you have and are you happy with it. There is also a stroller made by kidco that holds 55 pounds per seat. Does anyone have any experience with that stroller? Thanks in advance.

We have a Kidco LS2000 single stroller and it has been to WDW about 5 times now and we've taken it to DL as well. It's very similar to the Macs (I think the companies used to be affiliated actually at one time but aren't any more) but the Kidco hood is a little on the skimpy side. The Kidco btw hold 50lbs per side and the Macs hold 55. We've really abused our stroller and it's held up OK. It would actually be in great condition if dh didn't kick the wheels so often that the brake mechanisms are now broken on both sides. DH is 6'2. I'm 5'6" and I don't have problems kicking the wheels on this stroller. I don't know about the doubles but the LS2000 also has adjustable handles which are taller than the Macs I've parked it next too. I also like that our Kidco came w/a rain shield for ds which has come in handy a few times as well.

Oh Thankyou I had it in my head the Kidco was also to 55 pounds. My 4 year old is at about 47 pounds right now. I also have a son almost 3 and a 3 month old. I figured I could bring one double and wing it for a single. We could rent if needed. We had a Chicco double and we used that for the last 2 years. It stunk and I would not recommend it to anyone.

We love our Twin Techno. It is such a smooth ride. Our boys are 3 1/2 and 1 year and it rides great with their varying weights. I should mention, with all the men in our family averaging 6'4", my boys are tall and heavy. The oldest is 40 lbs and the baby is 25 lbs. The side by side seats are narrow, but since our guys are slim, that is not a problem.

One issue that is a selling point, but can be tough...the macleran has a center wheel, which is great for helping to balance the different weights, but I tend to step on it when walking! It is strange to get used to! But, we spent $350 and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I hope this helps!:earsboy:

I just found a double by Baby Planet that holds 55lbs per seat. I am researching it. It costs 289. I will let you know what I find out!princess:

Hey, I just wanted to let you know that how great the mac techno is. We had a peg pergo tender (front and back) and it was good for a short while but with the difference in weight with our boys it was very difficult to push. We got the mac a few weeks ago and i can not tell you how wonderful it is. Pushing the boys is so so much easier and it folds up so tight and compact. Perfect for Disney! We bought an 06 model for $296 @ albeebaby.com I also saw one that was an 07 for $329(sorry not sure which site. So just shop around and you can get one at a pretty good deal. Have fun!
