First I must say that I lurk A LOT on these boards and have gotten all sorts of great information. Thank you so much.

We are traveling to the world in 3 weeks. We are taking 2 Maclaren strollers. I am trying to decide what to use on the stroller to leave while we are in rides/show/etc. They are so tippy when things are hanging on them (my only complaint). Dh will carry a small backpack to take into rides with valuables (camera, blankets, things that can't get lost). So I am looking for something to hold diapers, wipes, extra clothes, sippys, bottles, and other misc. baby supplies. Dd is 2.5 and potty trained and ds is 6 months so we have fair amount of things. I have looked at the Skip Hop Dash and Duo, Maclaren organizers, Skip Hop Saddlebags (these look great because we wouldn't have the tip issue but I am unsure how much they hold and if they are easy to carry when the stroller is folded, anyone?), just a mesh bag for the back of each stroller. What are your recommendations? I am so confused. :confused3

There will be 5 adults, with 2 kids, so we should have plenty of hands.

Thanks!

Last year we had a 5, 3, 1 y/o we took a doulbe stroller, and 2 back packs, one that could be left in the stroller and one that was carried on stuff with us. With the tiping, when you get the baby/child out of the stroller just move the back pack to the seat of the stroller to keep it from falling over...

Ive also seen recently caddy type devices that hand on the back of the strollers, even with cup holders. They almost look like those things you hook on the back of your seats in the car to organize things! Try onestepahead.com

I read a great tip on another stroller thread -- to put ankle weights around the front wheels to prevent tipping. That poster said they had no probs folding up the stroller either.

I had thought about doing the ankle weights thing, however, I didn't want to add the extra weight to the stroller (we have a techno and a vogue so not the lightest models, not heavy either though). Thanks for the suggestions.

I use the ankle weights and works great for us - we only have one stroller though. We also use the universal organizer - what we would do prior to having ankle weights is when Sammi would jump out of the stroller we would just flip it over into the seat - it would slide right in the back where the shade part is open. The sunshade was still over it so there was a little less exposure and I always felt like if someone was desperate enough to steal a diaper they REALLY needed it. I don't really notice the extra weight from the ankle weights though - I think they add 6 pounds - but we don't really actually "carry" it that much. Fold it....carry it on the bus.....set it on the floor....carry it off the bus....open it back up.

A wealth of information on the DIS.... wow!

I just posted about how my Triumph tips in another thread!

Ankle weights, huh? I was considering crafting an organizer myself (in Disney fabric) that I could "flip" like one poster suggested... but I might have to try the ankle weights... I think I have some around here somewhere..... :cool1:

I have a Mac Quest and use the Mac Organizer. Items that I dont need access to often go into the basket under the seat. Diaper supplies and drinks go into the organizer and get left with the stroller while its parked. Ive never had a problem leaving it (I do stick it in a plastic bag). I didnt have issues with the stroller tipping for a few items, but when I started shopping, then it got tippy. I got 2 3lb ankle weights and put them on the wheels and no more tipping. The extra weight isnt too bad to deal with unless youre going to be carrying the stroller often.
