Hi Everyone -

I was reading some other threads about strollers. I am debating on buying a new stroller for our April Disney Trip. My mom wants me to just buy a cheap umbrella but I'm thinking in investing in a nice stroller as all our strollers are pretty trashed now. I'm looking at the Maclaren but want one that has a higher max weight since my kids are getting older (DD4, DS2-1/2). I can't find weight info anywhere except on the Triumph which says 40lbs. I saw on another thread one of the Maclaren's max weight was 55lbs. Does anybody know which one that is? Or what the Weight limits are for like the quest & techno?

Thanks so much?

My DH said the Triumph box says it goes to 55 lbs. We haven't gotten ours in the mail yet, it's scheduled to be delivered on Friday. If no one else can answer I'll let you know as soon as I get it in my hands on Friday.

From the maclaren website:

How long can I use my buggy? Until what age and/or weight?
Maclaren buggies are designed and tested to hold up to a 55lb child; the twins are tested to hold up to 55 pounds each side. Most children determine at what age they no longer want to be in a buggy - some children want to walk when they’re 2, others when they’re 5. We suggest you let your child guide the usage of your buggy, while keeping within the weight limit.

HTH!

I think they can all hold up to 55 pounds, but I could be mistaken. I know the Quest does! I just got one about 2 weeks ago and it is just THE BEST STROLLER I have ever had! It folds nice and compact, too. You will not be disappointed in Maclaren strollers!!! They have them on ebay, sometimes for cheaper than in the store. I got the Quest Mod in Rose Pink. I paid $179 for it from BRU. Ebay has it for $109/$119, but not in the color I wanted (only blue and/or green). Definitely look at ebay!!!

We have the Maclaren Triumph, the weight limit is 55lbs. I really like it, very lightweight and easy to steer.

Thanks All -
I did read on a website the weight for the Triumph was 40lbs. Suitable from 3 months to 40 lbs - is what it said. But that was just an retailer of the product so they very likely could have got the info wrong. I really like that stroller and think it may be the one I buy.

We bought a MacClaren back in August, for DS who is 3.5 now and DD who was 6 at the time for a disney trip. We went again in January when DD turned 7 and she was in it more than DS, it was a GREAT investment, I would DEFINITLY buy one since both your kids are under 5. We use it for any day trips and they take turns and sometimes at night they both sit in it, WAY above the max limit but so far so food :rotfl2:

All Maclaren's hold up to 55 pounds. That website was incorrect. Go for it!!! I hope you got a good deal...

I have a MacLaren Opus that I bought for our 99/00 WDW trip and it had the 55lbs or so rating. We took it with us last month and DD 7 who is 59.5 lbs made good use of it on the 2 days she was not feeling well. It took a little effort to push from a dead stop but worked great even in AK with uneven terrain. So glad we brought it and so glad it was our choice 6 years ago when we bought it!
