Hi gang-
We are going in October with DDs who will be 2 and 6 months. I'm planning on buying a new double stroller before the trip and wanted your thoughts. I bought a used Graco Duo Rider for $10 at a yard sale and have decided that we definitely like the side-by-side, but the Graco is way too bulky when its folded. I have a hard time getting it in and out of the back of an SUV- I can't image trying to drag it onto a crowded WDW bus.

I've done some research and found the Maclaren Opus Duo and Combi Twin Savvy. The Opus Duo is being replaced in 2003, so I can get a new 2002 model for only $190. The Combi is around $250. We already own a single Combi and really like it, so I'm tempted to stick with what we know. On the other had, the Maclaren is a great price and I've read great reviews. So, I'm torn. I also considered the Peg Perego Aria Twin, but I'm having a hard time justifying $300 when I compare it to the others.

Do any of you have either of these strollers? Any opinions or thoughts on something else I should consider.

Thanks!

I'm the cheapest person in the world, but I love our Peg Perego. It was worth the extra money. It was great in Disney because it's so light and easy to fold. I find it easier to handle than our SINGLE Graco. When we were getting on the bus, I could fold the double up with one hand. It was much easier to carry on the bus and it will stand up by itself when folded, which helped a lot with two little ones to keep track of. Plus the canopy is scotchgarded and very waterproof. Ours also unzips so you can have the back of the canopy open for ventilation or closed to keep warmer.

I just recently purchased the Combi Twin Savvy. I have a DD 2 yrs old and DD 3mos - 4mos at the time of our trip. Like you I did not want to haul our bulky Graco on the busses.
My DH and I love the Combi ( we are kicking ourselves for not buying one earlier). It is so light and easy to fold and handle. We love the carrying strap - once the stroller is folded you can carry it across your back. It has removable front guard/cupholder that can easily slide into your suitcase. It has two really nice sized storage baskets as well as a hanging insulated bag.
All I can say is that we really, really love it.
Oh yeah, each seat reclines seperately and the seats are well padded and well shaded.

I bought ours on Ebay for less than $250.00 and it is a 2003 model. The seller we bought it from was excellent, 3 days after winning the auction the stroller arrived. feel free to pm me if you have anymore questions.

For anyone who has the Combi Twin Savvy, did you purchase a rain cover for the stroller? If so, where were you able to find it? I've seen just a generic rain cover that says it will fit any side by side stroller, but I didn't know if there was one specifically for the Combi.

Thanks in advance,
Amy

Can you go to a local store and take one for a test spin? I went through 4 double strollers when my twin dds were small. Started out with a front/back, had two side-by-side umbrellas, and finally the Graco. Double strollers have come a long way in the last 7 years. Thankfully, I've only had one for my youngest dd.

KaseyC - we're almost neighbors. I'm in Gurnee and will be at WDW the same time as you are - Aug 14 - 23 at OKW.

LLP479, Gurnee is where I do all of my major shopping. Jewel , Target and I love the World Market for kitchen stuff. We will at WDW around the same time. We are staying at the BC . Small World. Enjoy your trip.

We have a 2 year old and 4 year old and have had the twin Combi since they were 2 and 26 months. We absolutely love it. It's light and easy to fold and fits through regular doorways. I also like the individual canopies and storage areas underneath. The best thing however is that Combi sticks by their product. After two years of use we were using it on mountain terrain (which I'm sure it wasn't intended for) and the plastic on the center post cracked. When I called to ask about repair the lady
apologized and then they sent me a brand new stroller!!This was the latest model with sippy cup holders also. She didn't even need a receipt--just asked that I cut the seats out of the old stroller and mail them back afterwards.(All this after the store where I had purchased it and spent lots of other $$$ refused to help.) In any case, you already have experience with the Combi so go for it!
