ok, here's a kinda weird question for you all. Is the mac and cheese at different restaurants...different? Is it all Stouffers? Is some of it like Kraft Dinner? Is any of it homemade? Who would you say has the best?
I'm a picky eater, I'm gonna be eating a lot of it while on my upcoming trip...that and fettucine alfredo...lol :rotfl:

Anyways, any help you wonderful folks could offer would be sooo helpful! Thanks!

Most of it seems the same, with the exception of the Stouffer's at LTT. It's pretty bad stuff all around.

Chef's De France makes their own, I've not tried it but it looks delicious.

Funny you should ask. My daughter, who is a mac n cheese expert, says that "Florida has terrible mac n cheese" lol. I guess Disney is all of Florida, in her opinion. The only place she likes it from is Cape May Clambake.

For the record, the kind she gets here at home is Kraft. LOL

:sad2: oh no....I'm in trouble...LOL! However, maybe it bodes well for me as I seem to have finally outgrown my KD phase...LOL :sad2:

Maybe you should bring a small electric pot to heat up water and some easy mac. It would get you by. I thing easy mac is pretty good. My ds lives on that and totino pizzas.

There was something on the Food network that said all the Macaroni and Cheese was the same. They held a cook-off between the chefs and had kids as the judges. The kids picked the one they thought tasted best and they use that recipe throughout the resort.

Though it is pretty much the same, LTT has stouffers, and Mama Melrose's, Hollywood Brown Derby and Jike all have wonderful mac and cheese.

I think I am basing my answer on 2.5 years ago when M&C was my daughter's favorite food, but she found that it was different at different restaurants. We never found the kraft variety always made by the restaurant but slightly different. I forgot now what her favorite was.

Jiko has a wonderful mac and cheese. Can't recall any others being especially memorable for my kids (although they did like them all).

I have seen that (a million times, lol, we have it on tape) and it looks so yummy! I have to say at Cape May it's pretty good!

I seen that show too...and the mac n cheese looked great on tv. But then again, so do alot of other things. That show is I think made in 2003 and I know last year when we were there my kids ate alot of mac n cheese, at different resturants and maybe it was just the difference in the people that made it but it hardly looked that same and the kids said it was different each time.

We had 2 meals at Big River Grill at the Boardwalk in April. My niece had mac and cheese both times and she let me have some. It was fantastic- Also note, Big River Grill is not owned or opperated by Disney- found that out this trip- Go and enjoy the mac!!!

My daughter LOVES the mac and cheese at Wolfgang Pucks Express in DTD. It's a four cheese blend. Try it there!

It is pretty good but I like the Disney stuff too.

At the time of our last trip both my kids were big mac and cheese eaters at home. I think we ordered it twice at WDW and they wouldn't eat it (said it was yucky). After that I refused to let them get it anymore.

We are going to WDW in November and my DD who will be 5 ONLY eats mac and cheese. I have been trying to find ADR'S with restaurants that have maca and cheese for her. SHe does not even eat Pizza. Everytime we put anything for her to try on her plate she puts it on the table or on our plates.
Our whole family is hoping she will start eating other food by the time of our trip.
Otherwise it is pancakes, peanut butter and jelly, and mac and cheese.
Thanks for the info!

The Mac and chees at Jiko comes with a filet mignon on top of it, just so you are aware that they don't have it on the menu alone. Maybe for the kids they do though. BUT it is a very adult style mac and cheese and is a hair bitter when eaten alone but goes really well with the filet and sauce.

My 5 year old daughter is a huge mac & cheese fan, she loves the stuff. However, she hated the mac & cheese at Disney. We were at WDW last week and she didn't like it at all from anywhere we went so we just stopped ordering it. It was pretty much the same everywhere we went.

I agree, The Mac & Cheese at Jiko's is different than the rest. It is a delicious addition to the filet there. Different but really good.

For $25.99 you can have Mac & Cheese at Boma. DS said it was really good (after I about handed him the bill ;) )
