MAC or PC?

Love my Mac.

To open another window, two-finger click on the Safari icon and a menu will come up to choose new window. The new window will come up and the old one will be right behind it - with the edge showing so you can go back to it if you want.

Hey! I learned something here! Another way to open a new window in Safari is to press the Apple Key (next to the space bar) and the "N" key at the same time. If you want to do tabbed browsing, hit the Apple key and the "T" key to open a new tab.

Aside from which which machine is more 'reliable'.
Vista is just a monster... and cmon, the security issues are just insane...

Yep - I'm one of those "IT guys" (well...girl!!) who uses a PC at work but has a Mac at home.

You can get the Mac version of Office which I imagine is what you need for school. I am getting my Masters and all I do is write papers - that have to be done in Word. I do them on my Mac and upload them just the same as I always did on the PC. No conversions or anything.

Mac lovers love Macs for a reason...not because of the name or the brand, but because of what they bring to the table. And a lot of us have used many many many PCs and don't see why we should have to deal with the hassle when there IS something better out there.

Thanks for the info on Office for Mac. I'm sure when I start my Masters in the Fall it will be lots of papers in between clinicals, but also I'm a tad concerned about the disntance learning platform being compatable.

It's interesting that few people have said "stick with a PC!". I'm sure Mac's have issues, too, but perhaps less problems due to fewer viruses/adware/spyware? I dunno, but where are the people saying "I love my Dell!" or "Stick with HP"? That alone makes me think Mac is the way to go.

It's fun to read everyone's comments. I like that the photo/video sounds like it's advanced and easy to use. My son is very into photography and I like to play with it as well, so that's a plus.

Any other input?

Macs rule. There's nothing you can't do on a Mac without more style than on a PC.

Can't play Everquest 2 unless I run Windows on it.

My PC's have lasted longer than my Mac's.

I actually really like Vista.

LOL - there is a reason that almost every IT shop in the world uses PCs instead of MACs. Seriously...

I work in IT and from what I've come across in my research (I do the buying) the reason why we don't have MAC's is because the PC is more mainstream. Our desktop publishing unit uses MACs. I am a MAC user at home (love my MacBook) and once my DELL dies I am getting an iMac.
