M:S Ride Reviews!

Interesting to read that this CM considered it to be the best ride in Orlando. If it can beat out Spiderman, that's saying a lot.

our cm friend that emailed us awhile ago basically said "people who like thrilling rides will love it" but I like this guy's description better: "the best way to describe it is Spiderman married to RnRC in Cyberspace Mountain"

(sorry to cut short the meet guys but I had to...).
Well, geeeze Scoop, you could have told us where you were going. Sure, we would have begged you to take us with you, but in the end we would have understood why you couldn't ;).

Check out WDWMagic.com for a real ride report from a Cast Member. I just posted the link in the "Attractions" Forum.

This ride looks very interesting! The only concern I have is whether it will cause much queasiness. The other link shows a review where someone was queasy after one ride. They also said that Body Wars bothers them while Star Tours doesn't. I hope that this ride doesn't bother too many people including me!

I'm the same as that poster - can't ride Body Wars (well I can, but I prefer not to), but have no problem with Star Tours. It won't stop me from riding MS though!

Im glad to hear great things about this attraction!!!
But as for it being better than Spiderman or one of the best attractions, i would hear to hear that from some one who isnt independant and from not an employee who may have ulterior motives.

I read that the ride can take 40 people at a time and the ride lasts 4.5 minutes. That means 500-600 people per hour.

Is that less than Test Track's capacity?

Ed

4 people per vehicle, 10 vehicles per centrifuge, 4 centrifuges = 160 people per cycle. Sounds like it'll easily surpass Test Track's capacity (whatever that may be).

4 centrifuges. That's what I was missing. Thanks.

Capacity then becomes ~2,000 per hour. Sounds a lot better.

Do we know the height restriction yet? Please let it be 42".......

Hey, Scoop, I was just reading this thread, and noticed you are in my neck of the woods! I hadn't found anything from this area yet!

Can't wait to try M:S....even if I do get a little queasy, I am sure it will be worth it!! I'll try anything once - then I can chicken out later if need be :-)

So, with M:S being open for CM's previews, does that mean we may have a shot w/in the next few weeks??? My DS would be beside himself (he keeps insisting he and his friends will be going to Mars w/in the next few years - and be the first to land on Mars!) he's almost 9!!

I think it is very unlikely that they would staff the attraction more than two and a half months prior to its opening and not let any guests ride during that time. My guess is that it'll be our turn once WDI turns the remaining centrifuges over to park operations. As for when that may be - I have no idea.
