Just what a family attraction needs: The summer issue of National Geographic's Traveler magazine says the Men in Black ride at Universal Studios is called "theme-park crack" by fans because it has an addictive, video-game-like feel. . . .
I agree. I like it and can never go to USF without riding at least 3 times.

Last time we were there (oct 2002) we rode it 6 times in a row, the year prior to that we rode it at least 10 times in a row. I agree with the getting my fix of MIB! It helps that we love Will Smith!

4 hours in a row with a twenty minute lunch break. Now that's an addictive ride. Thank you single rider's line and FOTL and motion sickness medication!

I rode MIB twice in a row (single riders) on Friday before my shift. The motion actually made me feel woozy, which it never has before. :(

But I still got 250,000; which is a personal best.

 Wow! Were you competing with someone? 4 hours would do me in! What was your best score during that marathon? I have been on 4-5 times in a row, it really is addicting.

the Dark Marauder I rode MIB twice in a row (single riders) on Friday before my shift. The motion actually made me feel woozy, which it never has before.

I have been on this ride so many times. This past June for the first time I got a little queasy. I thought it may have been the heat but really wondered if the ride was somehow changed at the end? That warm blast of fog combined with the spinning made me ill. I thought there was more fog than usual and it seemed to last longer.

I go on this sooo many times in a row!!

Still trying to beat my personal best of 555,100! I beat my dad though (when we stayed onsite he bragged the whole time on breaking 500,000 (but barely) and the last day I finally put an end to hit brags!! hehe)

So yeah...I'm very competitive just like my parents so we go on many many times. I only got to ride it 3 times last time I went which is very little for myself :( I usually go on atLEAST 5 or 6 times!

Yes, it is very addictive.. I remember last August we went on about 10 rides in a row! and then came back in the afternoon for more...

DS, has maxed out so many times, that I've got to do it. I've gotten in the low 9's but can't quite get 999999. Next trip.

Does he use the tips from the website??

I am trying not to look at them right now. But I'm not sure which aliens give the most points. I do have a couple "special" ones I always hit though...

but the 900,000s?! That's awesome!!

He's done MIB so many kazillions of times he knows what to shoot. He did use the website at first but I don't think he follows it now.

My hubby loves this ride! I would too if I could just beat him once : ) Am going to read up on the points before I go...

I am guessing that the MIB ride is much more of a ride than Disney's " buzz lightyear" ride.

How is it different? Give me the skinny!!!

Buzz Lightyear: designed to fit into an existing facility.
MIB - a new structure was built.

Buzz Lightyear: Bright and cheery.
MIB: Dull, dingy NYC under attack.

Buzz Lightyear: aimed at kids and families.
MIB: aimed at teens, adults, and kids.

Buzz Lightyear: Single track, 2 person vehicle.
MIB: dual track, 6 person vehicle.

Buzz Lightyear: you gain points by shooting at cutouts done with poster paint under blacklight to give it a "3-D" look.
MIB: Full-size animatronic, I mean "cinebotic" characters that shoot back and interact with guests on the ride. You can also shoot your opponents exhaust port to cause their car to spin.

Buzz Lightyear: same ending every time.
MIB: ending is determined by averaging the scores of all six riders.

BLY: Fastpass
MIB Universal Express, Single rider line, and FOTL (hotel guests)

MIB just has superior themeing! (period)
That is just a few of the differences.

Also, on Buzz, the guns are attached to the ride vehicle and in MIB they're only attached with a cord, so you can aim pretty much anywhere

No wonder my car seemed to spin more the second time I rode. I didn't know you could make someone else's car spin. That's it! I have to go back soon. :D
