Sorry for the cross-posting but I was advised to move my thread to here:
My poor hotel choice (and yes I am locked in) keeps getting worse and worse.
Now I have found out that it only runs the free shuttle once per day.
:confused::eek::headache:

Renting a car is NOT an option either.
Before you suggest I rent a car or stay on property Please remember that I am already locked in to a paid itinerary (yes, I already called Priceline and begged) and do not have enough addition money for a car rental (yes I have priced it out) and Disney parking.
I am sorry to be sound like I have an attitude about this, but those two suggestions really will do me no good. For the future maybe but for THIS trip , no. I need to fix THIS problem.

That said. I will be staying on Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy.
I have heard that the LYNX bus runs frequently AND only costs $2 each way.

Does anyone have any experience with this?
Have you ridden LYNX and has it gone ok?

I am getting really terrified that my budget choice of hotel in now really going to screw things up! (Free Shuttle was one of the attractions till I found out how pointless THAT is)

In your situation, I suppose Lynx is probably a good choice. I would get hold of their schedule, routes, etc. so you get a good idea of what you're dealing with.

You now know my one piece of advice for anyone staying offsite: rent a car! Unless there's a driving issue, I do encourage you to check out car rental prices anyway. They are often at their lowest about 7-10 days before your departure date. Sometimes the rates are quite remarkable. However, do not do what you did with the hotel and go for pre-pay.

I'm not sure where you are on Irlo Bronson...but some parts of it are pretty close to WDW, so a cab might not be a bad idea.
when you say the free shuttle runs once a day, I assume that means it leaves once to get you to WDW and then later in the day to get you back to your hotel.
If that's the case, you may just want to take it over to WDW and then move around using the Disney system. It's not perfect but it's workable.
Using Lynx is tough. You may find yourself having to make transfers when using Lynx. Sorry that's not what you were hoping to hear, but there are no really direct buses that I know of.

I have found from another thread that I should be able to take the 56 directly to WDW Transportation Center.
Feeling a little better about it.

Yep, you should be fine. Go here and click on 56 to see the map & schedule. You'll be about halfway between Osceola Square & SR 535; you probably want to be at the bus stop no later than the Osceola Square departure time. (BTW, don't bother visiting Osceola Square; it's a dead mall.)

After you're on the Lynx website, click on the Fares & Passes tab. You may want to order a "Fixed Route 7-Day Standard Pass" to be mailed, if you plan to use the bus a lot. The passes are not available on the bus, except for the $4.50 1-day pass, which doesn't save you over the single fares on 1 round trip. If you purchase the 7-Day pass, the 7 days begin on the 1st day you use the pass.

Once you get to TTC, you can take the monorail or ferryboat to MK, monorail to Epcot, or bus to DHS or DAK. If you want to visit a Disney waterpark or DTD, you'll need to transfer at any Disney resort. Easiest is to walk to, or ride one stop on the Resort Monorail to Polynesian. It's a 5-10 minute walk from TTC.

Great info to have. It's always good to know what's available out there.
