As we were walking down Main St I noticed pumpkins in the window and they were all decorated. I walked in and noticed that you can decorate a little pumpkin and put it in the window on display. How fun! So of course we did it.

Yay I'm glad you are back! Can't wait to read more

The deocorations looks so beautiful. I've never seen pictures of the little pumpkins you can decorate yourself. Cute!

I can not wait to read more only 56 more days until i get to see the World in Christmas glory. Next trip will have to be for the Fall decorations!

A great start! So excited to read the rest!! :) I loved reading your wedding TR ... I know this one will be just as good! :upsidedow

I have been a lurker on your wedding trip report and this one as well. I think I have commented on your wedding about how beautiful you looked and how awesome your wedding pics turned out.

ANYHOW,,,I have to AGREE with you about going in May, although I have never been in October. I did go in December once, a little too cold for me, but of course we had a fabulous time and were able to see all the parks adn hotels decorated for xmas, it was really nice.

My DH and I have always been there in May and LOVE IT!! The weather is always perfect, no lines ect....

I love you trip report so far!!!!! Looks like a great time!

Great start! Aren't the Fall decorations so pretty and cute (love the Mickey pumpkins!!), too? We went last September and loved the way it's decorated...can't wait to see it in December and those decorations!!! And WOW..Tim really does have a A LOT DD pins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm impressed!!:flower3:

We are addicted..it really is insane:rotfl2: Once you buy one you just can't stop lol.

Ok Tim is obsessed with Donald Duck...on our honeymoon he started going crazy collecting only Donald pins. He went down with maybe 5 and ended up leaving with 50 somthing pins. After we came home the pin trading obsession continued and he collected more from ebay. Now he has 71!

Here are his laynards and yes he will wear all 3. He got them ready last night lol.

DSC01358.jpg

He also has over 100 pins he bought on ebay to trade..the 4 tink pins in the box are all I have LOL.

DSC01362.jpg

I'm going to be trading for some Ariel pins..trying to be like Tim and collect all Ariel instead of Donald..I will be lucky to come close to that LOL.

So you will see a lot of pin trading in our TR.
My family and I are leaving for WDW in 14 days! I want to start DD-3 on a pin collection. How and where do you trade pins?

Great photo's I want to get back there. I also loved the halloween decorations in Magic Kingdom. :goodvibes

Loving your TR.

We also had a great trip! Didn't find crowds too bad. Got home late last night.

Your first photos of just past the ticket area are just like my first photos!

Can't wait to read more. DH and DD8 will be doing the trip reports.

My family and I are leaving for WDW in 14 days! I want to start DD-3 on a pin collection. How and where do you trade pins?

I mostly got my Donald Duck pins from CM's walking around. I kinda just glance at their lanyards. I can spot Donald from far away so it's easy for me. Another way is at Downtown Disney, locals will come down with their books and trade right at the pin station there. This can be pretty tough because they usually look for something specific or they will say, "Just buy some pins I want from the store and I'll trade for what you want."

Also at DTD in the pin station there is a board that they open up occasionally and you can find pins not usually seen around the parks. At Mouse Gears in Epcot they pull a board out from 5-5:30 everyday and the CM will explain the rules for trading there. Also in the World of Disney store at DTD in the pins and jewelery section I believe it is, they will bring stuff out daily at 2:30 and 6:30.

One thing many people don't know is that at every park at the Guest Services building they have a book that you just ask to see and I find some good ones in there cause not too many people know about that, but I will share it with you. Also at the Concierge desk at your resort they may have some lanyards in the back that you can look at because our resort let us the first day we were there, but when I went back another day they looked at me like I had 10 heads so I guess it's hit or miss with that one. Oh yeah and I know for a fact that the Trader's Post pin store in MK has a pin book as well.

Another thing I wish to point out about the locals and other people who bring their books down for trading. DON'T LET THEM SCREW YOU OVER! Ask to see the back of the pin you wish to trade for to see if it is Limited Edition or just ask if it is. If you are trading a LE pin for one that is not, make sure you try and make a deal like 2 for 1, or 3 for 1. It should either be a LE for a LE, or a LE for multiple open edition pins (meaning they are continuiously made). Also do some research on Disney pin trading sites and find out where some pins originate from, whether it be WDW, DL, DL Paris or DL Hong Kong. Most pins are from both WDW or DL, but some pins are region specific.

Yes I'm pretty serious about pin trading now, so any other question, just send me a PM and I will try and help out as best as I can as I am fairly new to it, but have done a lot of research. So there are the tricks of my trade, now just be sure to save all the Donalds I don't have for me! :lmao: Whatever you do don't feel shy to approach a CM and ask to see their pins. Even the CM's with green lanyards are not supposed to trade with anyone 13 or older, but sometimes they will do it. You can even bug the CM in check out lines and they will trade while they ring people up. Me personally, I am probably stalker like about it cause I go to EVERY CM I see with pins, sometimes more than once a day, expecially the Guest Service desks. So have fun and good luck.

Sorry to hijack your thread Lynnie, you may proceed with your TR, see ya when you get home. I'm hungry we should go get some meatloaf from Wegmans or something lol.

Hey Tim wow you know a lot on pin trading no wonder you have all them pins. Love the picture of you and Lynn in your sig.

Hi Lynn,
I was just reading an article from the newspaper in my mom & dad's hometown. I saw an article that I thought Tim would definately get a kick out of. There's a lady there that has so many Donald Duck items that she's been put in the Guiness Book of World Records. Here's the link to it.

Hope you have a good day at work. This is an EXCELLENT tip! I did loose a card a couple of summers ago and although the PP people found my family it really was a source of stress. You rock! :woohoo:
