Lyft to a grocery store from DVC resort?

We are staying in VWL (yes, I still call it that ) without a car for few days in March. We wanted to get some beer and or wine as well as a few staples for our stay. Anyone have experience with getting to a grocery stories from here using Lyft or Uber? If so, what store did you request?

We used Safeway delivery to get beer and groceries for our trip over Thanksgiving. I placed the order online and selected a delivery time when we would be there. We had to show IDfor the alcohol. It was really convenient.

I agree that delivery services are the best route. Instacart is another option. I did the math myself going from BLT to Wal-Mart, and it was cheaper to just have beer delivered to me than it would have been to take a service both to and from a store.

We've used Safeway a few times now with no problems. And yes, if beer and wine is on your order, you have to be there to show ID.

By the way, if you like IPAs, Jai Alai by Cigar City is a very good Florida specific one. Looking forward to picking up another couple of six packs next time I'm in the state.

Tried the Cigar Ciiy jai alai a few times while at Vero over Christmas. It was a nice one.

We have always used Garden Grocer as a delivery service for exactly what you are looking for. It has beer, wine, plus the staples (and more). There is a small delivery fee, but not any more than you would probably pay using Lyft. With them, you can send them your ID ahead of time so you don’t have to be there at delivery. Our resort stored our food/drinks for us until we returned back from the park. The resort even refrigerated necessary items until we returned as well.
