Lyft and booster seats

For our New Year's trip, we're staying off-site two nights before moving to a DVC rental at GC for our remaining three nights. Those first two nights we'll be staying a couple of miles away, and don't want to rely on shuttles to get back and forth to the parks, so I'd like to use Lyft.

I've taken Lyft myself a handful of times, but never with my kids - so I'm wondering what to do about the fact that my 6-year-old still requires a booster seat. I'm prepared to just bring our Bubble Bum and stash it in a locker if I have to - but it occurred to me that perhaps drivers around DLR come prepared to pick up kids - am I likely to be able to find a Lyft that has a booster seat? - and is there a way I can specify that need in the Lyft app?

I'd welcome advice or other thoughts from people more tech savvy than I!...

We spent 6 days using Lyft with our 6 year old. Both to and from the airport and each day to Disneyland. Not one had a booster. But I had gotten a Mifold and it worked perfectly and I felt it was quite safe. A couple of the drivers even took pictures.

It is required by law for a child to be in proper restraints so you will want something.

Here is the link to the one I got. It fit easily in bags but we did get a locker each day as we brought quite a few other things we didn't want to carry around. I don't know much about the bubble bum one :)

Lyft and Uber do not provide child restraint systems. You must provide your own and install yourself.

We also use a mifold for both of our kids when travelling. Fits in backpacks no problem. Easier than the bubble bum because you don't have to blow it up.

For anyone else’s reading...my youngest may not be ready for a booster. We have one of these vests though. I traveled alone with both kids and didn’t want to carry two heavy, metal seats.
We have one of those as well, for the same scenario. It was ok, but not great for us - - we couldn't get it to fit our daughter quite right (even though she was big enough for the size guidelines). I think it might work ok for a bigger child, but we had a hard time with one of the buckles and never felt like it was fitting right. We only used it for a couple of trips, and now we have a mifold for her too (though we have to install it for her. Her brother, who is 8, can do it himself. She's 5 and still needs help).

Mifold doesn’t fit a lot of cars well unfortunately - bubble bum is much easier to fit properly.
