luxury car rental

I guess a luxury car request is a bit contradictory to the budget board! Anyhow, one of our treats for our trip each year is to rent a great car - We have been able to get decent deals on Cadillacs the past few years, but this year, all of the luxury class cars are coming in at up around $700 at least for our 11 day stay in May - I cannot bring myself to pay more than some people pay for lodging!

I have used Deb's codes, searched Orbitz, Expedia, etc and used all of my club memberships - Does anyone have any hot tips on a good deal?

Try the transportation board. See if you can use any upgrade coupons. Hertz (AAA) has a double upgrade but that will only get you to premium (Grand Marquis). When you get closer try PL or Hotwire. Finally when you get there offer to pay for an upgrade. If a luxury car is available you can probably get an upgrade for a reasonable charge.
