I'm so jealous you got room block info..I'm going to email my coordinator now haha. And we should be making a deposit for our BLT reservation shortly
sweet! dvc is saving us so much on our rooms!! do you have a room-block headache yet?
Blerghhhhh to wedding nightmares. I have them every now and then. At least I'm mostly over my "OMG I LOST MY ENGAGEMENT RING" nightmares though.
Boys are stupid with money. Just sayin. (Mine is too.)
Anddddd what else. I'm glad your DVC is (almost, just about!) taken care of. I know it will be a huge relief when they're booked. <3
I had another dream last night, but I forget what it was about, lol--I just remember waking up thinking... when is this going to stop??
Ohhh Deena, you crack me up. I seriously love reading your updates. I kinda understand what you mean about the whole friend thing. Dave's in your position, except with family. I have sooo much family and he has none and it almost makes him feel inferior. What he doesn't realize is that my family honestly likes him more than me I swear! =X ha.
But in any case, moving hotels is honestly the best bet and except for planned excursions together your cell can simply 'just not be working' 'it must be something with my reception'. Scouts honor it will work. ha! It'll work out. I promise. Plus you'll be so busy you won't see your family much during the wedding festivities. I'm sure.
Oh you and your wedding nightmares.. hoodie and uggs sounds comfy though? =] I will have to say I have had my fair share of the wedding nightmares as well. But all pertaining to my dress, eep! =X
So glad to hear things are moving along though. Yay for new coordinator's!!!
Yay! I think moving hotels is going to save us
Deena,
Glad to see you are on a streak of good news for a change (except for the bank account).
I was inspired by your room block info to email my coordinator for mine. Hopefully, I will get it soon. We are going away for most of October, so I would really want it done before then, so we can relax. I don't think Paul wants me to bring too much wedding stuff on the cruise.
Have a great weekend!
Hope you got your info! I really am pushing people to make preliminary decisions before we sign the LOA, lol. I want to know whats going on before I sign!! I'm glad we got it to work on it before hand!
I have to say that the Perry the Platypus t-shirt thing made me giggle!!! MY DS, Alfie, today had his last day at primary school before moving on to high school in September (the start of the new school year in the UK). All the mums had arranged to have two limos (one pink for the girls and one black for the boys) to collect our little darlings from school, and take them on a cruise around town before delivering them to their leavers party nearby. All the girls wore their pretty dresses, most of the boys wore nice shirts and smart trousers and what did Alfie wear? Jeans and, yup you guessed it a Perry the Platypus t-shirt!!!! Oh well I guess he is only eleven, but still.....
boys are so silly!! i can picture the whole thing!! congrats to your DS!!
Sheesh I go away for a little while and so much happens..... LOL!!!
Deena I am so glad that everything is working out for you the way that you want. I can't wait to see what you decide on decor.
Trust me the joint account thing has happened here too. Now I keep my own account but have access to his too.
Can't wait to hear what you come up with next!!!
I know you've been a busy lady!! Lots can happen in a little time around here, lol! It's been nice since all has calmed down a bit!
I checked out Jason's site and he's going to take beautiful pictures of your wedding. Can't wait to see them.
I know what you mean about joint checking except my situation was reversed. We had to get a joint checking account after FH cashed two checks from me at the same time when they were dated one before my payday and one after. It ended up costing us a pretty good hunk of money in fees because he couldn't read the date on two checks.
Love the Perry the Platypus idea. Maybe he could wear for a couple of the shots for fun and for him. Then you only show the pretty polished ones to everyone else...
I feel extremely confident with my photography choice! I'm also really glad I caught the bank mess before it made a bigger mess. If I didn't look, my little piddly $1 drinks from McDonalds or the gas station... would have caused total chaos. I always stop and get a drink before my 2nd job somewhere and they're all little tiny charges on my debit card, lol. I never have cash for the vending machine

Oh well... it happens to lots of people, lol.
Walmart has a female Perry shirt now, lol--I should get it and we could match!
Just wanted to jump in (I still browse the DIS boards every now and then!) and say congrats on booking Jason for photography!! You will love him and I think you've already seen how amazing he and his wife Lucia are

Jason's blog is on my RSS feed so I'm always looking out for new Disney weddings...can't wait to see yours next year!
Hi! I have to honestly say that your wedding pictures inspired me to look him up!! They are great people and the best customer service I've had so far in this whole wedding deal!! We're doing e-pix with him in November!! Can't wait! Thanks for reading along!!

Oh Monday--you suck. I'm not motivated today. I tried to go home on my lunch for a 20 minute nap, and one of my best friends from Georgia called 4 minutes into it. They're coming up to race in 2 1/2 weeks so we were talking about plans and such. I knew they'd all start calling soon and I was thinking about it over the weekend. I had told Dave that I wasn't sure I was going to go out with any of them because I'm so embarrassed about my weight. I broke down and cried and he was actually very supportive. I know they're my friends that I've known since I was very young--but they knew me from when I was in high school thru my early 20s at 110-lb which then I was ackward and un-proportioned, then I started to fill out luckily in the right places and would bounce between 135 and 150 where I was really comfortable. Today I sit at 195 in and out of fad-diets, and the last they saw me was at 180. I promised they would never see me at 180 again... and low and behold, I'm way above that. I've had nothing but grilled chicken, broccoli, string cheese and cottage cheese for 5 days--and only lost 2 pounds. I have to get this weight out of my face if nothing else--I have 17 days.
What brought this all on was I stopped by Dave's softball game the other day and one of his teammates wanted to know why he didn't tell anyone I was pregnant

That was awkward to explain that I wasn't, yet it looked like I could give birth any minute the way I'm shaped. Now I'm so ashamed to even go out of the house, let alone see some of my really good friends that I rarely get to hang out with anymore since we're all in different states. I hate how people look at me and treat me. Even at my second job, they look at me differently now and it hurts my feelings. They don't even make my size in the new uniforms. It's not that I'm not trying--it's just not working--I've even considered just having the hysterectomy done so I go back to normal. I tried spanx the other day, and I looked more pregnant than without them. My lower stomach is rock hard like a pregnant lady and it doesn't go in--it's not flabby or poochy--it's hard and uncomfortable. They told me at one point my uteris is enlarged and only the hysterectomy or another pregnancy will fix it. Then another doctor said that it might go down once I started my meds--but it didn't and we're 7 months into the meds. So until then I'll have a pregnant stomach with no kid in it?? Great. So I can't even do spanx without it just enhancing my non-baby bump. You should really see how they suck in everything around it and how there's nothing but "baby" while everything else is sucked in

I'm frustrated, but at least Dave still loves me!
Hopefully I can jump start something, and keep it up for epix in November. If not... then maybe we'll just do one outfit for Epix... and another outfit for maternity pix... kill 2 birds with one stone
Moving on. Our guest list is at 35 people (this includes +1's and children). We finished it last night. I am almost positive that 10 of them will not come--let me rephrase--I am praying at least 10 of them do not come
I am being pressured to have my uncle walk me down the aisle. Not that he hasn't been a fabulous person in my life--he's not my father. I'm not looking for a replacement for my father and would rather walk alone, or walk in with Dave. I don't even know where I can walk in Sago Cay let alone make decisions like this. I wish people gave an f what I thought instead of pressuring and hard selling something that I am so against in my heart. I am soooooooo against this, but I feel like I'm going to have to. I don't ask her to go find a new husband to replace my father--why ask me to replace my father to give me away. I don't need anyone to give me away--there's nothing traditional about this shindig anyway. I'm getting very anxious talking about it. Pop an Ativan and next subject!
Getting addresses together with Dave last night was fun! Our Save the Dates came in the mail on Saturday and they're pretty nice. I could have done better, but they were cheap and will do. I only ordered 25 and Dave gave one to Baxter to carry around and I nearly had a heart attack. Baxter wants to carry around whatever you have in your hand--Dave thought this was funny--me, not so much. Right now I need 18, and I'm sure I'll send a few to elderly/non-traveling famliy members.
When my friends come into town I may ask if any are interested in coming. I highly doubt they'll be able to as they'll be in Charlotte at the World of Outlaws Finals Wednesday-Saturday, and will just be venturing home on Sunday--and probably not interested or able to get to Disney by the next morning. I understand, but I'll still throw it out there because I've known them forever and they're very dear to me. I wasn't going to invite any of them at all, but then I would feel really rude after the years we've all spent together. I feel like I'm out of control with inviting people, lol--what happens if they say yes?? I just have to be careful--I know there's my 4 closest I would invite--and have to be careful about anyone else. This makes me worry if Sago Cay is going to be big enough. Breathe in... breathe out.
Didn't I say 10 people max? What happened?
I bought a dress at NY&Co this weekend. Don't know that I want it for the e-pix... but maybe. If not, it could work for the Rehearsal--Dave liked it--that kind of shocked me. It's one shoulder, black dress with white paisley, flowy and the shoulder is a little ruffely. I scored it for 14.99 so I think I won. I also grabbed some hand soaps at BBW for welcome bags. Those things don't go bad--so now I have hand soap, pens, kleenex, hand sanitizers and holders, and nail files. I'm just going to pick up minor stuff here and there so it doesn't feel like I spent mass money on these things, lol.
While we were out, I got my ring cleaned. The guy was like, "I'm not gonna lie--that thing was dirty." Yeah--I know--working with lotions and foundations, etc get in all the little nooks and crannies.... but I am SPARKLIN' now!!
Well it's about 3pm and I've done nothing here at the office today. Well I shouldn't say nothing. I priced out staying an extra night in November, I made a list of our guests, checked the theme park / resort / restaurants / and rumors boards, wrote this post, and tried to call home, but no answer. We want to stay an extra night because Dave wants to take epix the first morning (2nd day), not the last day--and our first morning is 11/11/11 and he's booked, so now we're going november 9-14 with epix on Nov 10... yay!
I think that's all thats going on here. After work, I'm hoping the pool will be empty so I can go swim laps for a bit. Dinner is Grilled Chicken with Broccoli and Cauliflower--bet you couldn't have guessed, lol. I hope everyone has a fabulous week!!
