Lurker or poster?

More a lurker now than a poster as I don't find it to be the warm, safe place that it once was for me.

Ahh - that's so sad! Why is that (if you don't mind me asking)?

I miss some of the old people like Obi but find everyone really cool!

I'm more of a lurker. I try to post on the trip planning as possible, always read the community board but harder ever post. I don't really venture over to any other board - occasionally read through rumours board (the Americans tend to be dead funny) and sometimes read through the transport thread in the vain hope that I might find out they are expanding the monorail!!

I used to be a prolific poster, both here and elsewhere... about 7 years ago! ;) No money for holidays these days, so I only dip in occasionally to see what old friends are up to. Hope to be back properly one day though..... ;)

I started posting almost as soon as I joined as it was recommended I come here for advice for our up-coming holiday.
Since then I have been numerous times and was delighted when I first saw that I had the answers to some of the questions being asked :goodvibes
I love reading the Trip reports that people put and think it is very important to post a comment on them when everyone goes to the trouble of preparing them for our enjoyment.
I have been a member on countless forums in the past, Disney related ones and others, but this is the only one where I felt genuinely welcomed when I first started posting. Everyone here is so friendly - and though that can come across as 'clique' its only because a lot of the regulars have been posting for so long, have read each others trip reports, given each other advice in the community section and generally become good friends as a result of their love of Disney and Florida.
If you share that passion - which you probably do and thats why you are here - join in the discussions and fun and become part of our big happy family

I haven't posted that much lately, had other stuff going on.

i agree, you are my dis family, tbh i spend more time chatting to you lot than my brother, no one here thinks im mad for my obsession with a fairy, but its more than disney, we share highs and lows, and the odd tesco beer in chat thanks to kev!
:lovestruc

Though British born--I live in Canada so mostly-I lurk;)

I like to see what folks are talking about in the U.K!:thumbsup2

I'm more of a lurker than a poster. I tend to post when I think I can be of some help or if I need to ask a question :)
I've found this place to be very friendly and knowledgable which is great :thumbsup2

i think i should be classed as a poster :lmao:

Never heard of ya, who are you? :rotfl:

I always post if there is something I can add to a discussion, or to offer congratulations. However, I often can't do this because I'm secretly using the Internet at work! :rolleyes1

i also started off as a bit of a lurker, but I would implore anyone who is a bit hesitant to ask questions/get involved to just get involved. There are no such things as silly questions on this board, and you will always receive a warm welcome! :thumbsup2

50/50 for me as well then!

Long time lurker - by the time I finally joined I felt like I knew some folk well enough to invite them over for dinner :rotfl:

I would say I am now a poster

The very reason for being a lurker is the same reason why I would prefer to keep my reasons private.

Thanks for asking though.

I totally agree with you I like to keep things private on here too now even when Im going away which is a bit sad really

Im afraid i have to agree with the various comments here saying it doesn't feel quite the safe place it used to be.

With this in mind, ive slipped into more of a lurker role trying to help people where I can, while generally keeping out of more "personal" discussions :thumbsup2

I'm sorry to hear that Rob. It's a shame that some people make others feel like that.

I guess I am a poster but probably not as much as I used to be but theres not a specific reason for that. :confused3

Sorry to hear that some of you feel that you can no longer post or feel safe on here.
