Lurker or poster?

i read alot on here, but do post more on the planning boards, i only posy on the community boards, if its something i could help with!
tracy

im a lurker on everywhere lol like to keep an eye on things - iykwim ;):lmao:

I post a lot less now than I used to as I just don't have as much time. So I don't reply to all the threads I read if I can't add anything useful.

I wish more people were like that as when I've posted a question and received, say 10 replies, to find that 9 of them say "Sorry I can't help you, but good luck with your search!" is very disappointing.

Sorry Libby, but I think Im guilty of that, I hate to see somebody post a can you help thread with no replys and it sinking down the pages and maybe missed, so I quite often say that to bump it back up in the hope that somebody that missed it can help.:)

Surely just replying to this thread makes us all posters!!!

Seriously though, I often get halfway through typing a reply and then think "I don't think my comment will help" and don't send it. (My post count is a lot lower than others that joined after me.)
I do this loads:), but I don't post much as I'm a bit shy (say aahhh...) and feel that everyone knows each other really well already.

I'm intermittent! I like the UK angle and help where I can but I'm not a regular poster - it's taken me 10 years to get this many posts!

I'm definately more of a lurker than a poster. I read the boards regularly, but find that by the time I have gotten to most threads someone else has already said what I was going to.

I also worry that people seem to know each other very well, and I am the odd man out, as it were. But I have found that people are very quick to come forward with help when it is asked for.:goodvibes

Definately a lurker :goodvibes Been lurking, in one form of another, for the past couple of years :thumbsup2

From my post count you will see that I was a serious poster.

More a lurker now than a poster as I don't find it to be the warm, safe place that it once was for me.

Both for me, lurker as I have to read every post going as mod:rotfl2:and poster when I can help or join in the fun:thumbsup2

I remember you on here alot Flo
I'm a bit of both -lurker and poster

As you can see from my ridiculously low post count. I am def a lurker!

Thats a shame - I find this site much more comforting than some others. I remember seeing "disagreements" here but never the venomous obnoxious replies that I have seen other places.

As you can see I'm not much of a poster, but i like taking part when I can. :lovestruc

I'm more lurker these days. Just don't have the time I used to :sad2:

Bit of both I think....lurked for a llllllooooooooonnnnnnnnngggggggggggg time before signing up and try to post whenever I have time although I read lots:goodvibes

I'm an inbetweener really I think!

I do like to contribute to posts whenever I can and I enjoy the games and the exchanges etc.

I like others, sometimes feel silly for posting on threads were people seem to know each other on a more personal level. I'm looking forward to the day I get to meet some more of the fantastic Dis'ers on here.

I'm sad I can't make the girly weekend this year too, that would have been a great way to meet some of the regular posters :thumbsup2

I have to say I do both. I'm getting a lot more confident in posting. I hope I can help people and people will return the favour

And I have to say .....:disrocks:

Perhaps those of us who are posters and lurkers could be called 'porkers'...
