Lung cancer screening

DH just had a lung cancer screening. Results came back with a classification of Lung RADS 4A. PCP wants him to see a pulmonologist sooner rather than later. We're a bit freaked out.

Anyone with any experiences? He was a smoker, but hasn't smoked for some time. Report says follow up with CT scan in 3 months.
