Lunchable deal at Target

Thanks for the posts on this thread.

I went yesterday. Missed the apple juice, so may have to go back. Was it on special?

I got a dozen mustards. Got the little ones since we don't use a lot that came out to 9 cents each.

Got four fritoes because we're having chili over the weekend.

Got 16 lunchables and wish I had bought more. My kids don't take their lunches to school but I can add a pasta or green salad and make lunch for myself out of them. The expiration dates were late August or September.

I also found two short dated packages of chicken with some sort of Mexican seasoning that came out pretty reasonable after the couples.

Total less than $20. The only thing I bought at regular price was a head of lettuce. Overpriced at well over a dollar, but I wasn't stopping anywhere else.

I have got to know, who needs 12 jars of mustard? :confused3 We are lucky to use 1 the whole summer. Doesn't it go bad?
12 does seem a bit excessive to me, but if you have the room to store them a while, why not? I don't have the room, so I only bought 5. I do use mustard quite a bit- on sandwiches, hot dogs and hamburgers and in recipes I have for sloppy joe's, marinades, dressings, salads, etc.

We've being going through it a lot faster since my entire family wanted to lose weight -- mayonaise is out, mustard is in!!!

Well for 9c they would make a great donation to the local food shelf. I know what you mean though--I don't think we even use a full bottle in a year. We just bought mustard and I don't remember the time before that that I picked any up. Needless to say I did not use that coupon!

Bought 10 of the pizza ones at my target for $0.53 with the coupon, which is much better than the regular price!

Do you use a separate coupon for each one, or do they let you use one coupon for as many as you want?

Did anyone else have trouble with the coupons they printed from home scanning? I felt so bad for the cashier, none of my coupons would scan, between the Oscar Mayer and the Motts there were $30!! :rolleyes1

Usually the scanner "gun" works better at recognizing the coupons. It also helps if they "curl" or bend it a little. I am not sure why, but it does. They also shouldn't hold the scanner gun to close to the paper.

I got myself stocked up today! 12 lunchables, 6 Hot dogs and 2 turkey deli packs. I never usually buy the lunchables, DD is picky about her cheese. But I got the bologna and cheese ones which she will eat.

so here I am, Mother of the year, I'm trying to clean up for a party tomorrow and the girls have been under foot all night. so I sent the kiddos outside with a lunchable and drink to have "diner" in the tree fort. yea me.

I guess I'll be back to restock before the 21st.

Thanks OP! Just got back from Target a little while ago and bought 7 of the stacker Lunchables (52 cents at my Target after coupon); Deli style French's mustard; deli pack of turkey; 4 Motts Apple Juices; 2 hot dog buns; and 1 hamburger bun. I will go back once they restock the Stackers!

Had no problem using mutiple coupons. :goodvibes I picked out a young man cashier as I don't usually have any problem with them! :cool1: A couple of the OM ones didn't scan but that's because my DD7 cut off the last bar of the code. He just rescanned one that did work.

Thanks, again for saving me so much $$ (Of course the trip to Kohl's before cost me way more than I saved, but hey, it was still a savings on the food!)

Thanks for the heads up on this great deal! My boyfriend stocked up on enough lunchables to feed him until he moves! We also got a ton of granola bars (Marked down to 2.04 a box, so 1.29 after coupon) and the archer farms cookies (on sale 2/$5 and $1 off each box!). Probably some other stuff as well - what a great deal! We just printed them out and didn't cut them and had no problem. This will be a great tool for future visits - thanks!

Gerber has a coupon on the generator for $1/off 2 Gerber baby food our Target has them for .52 so it comes out to .02 each. Not bad!! Or you can combine the coupon on www.gerber.com that is $2/off of 4 DHA Gerber baby food and it will be free!!:cheer2:

My pantry is loaded with Motts!!!:thumbsup2

Just a heads up that they are on sale, however, i was going to just get the regular box of 10 bars in a box.

Luckily, we continued through the food section to where the bulk deals are and i found a whole display of boxes that have two extra free bars (12) at the same price as the 10 pk.

The bonus boxes for the bites is 7 bags instead of 6.

I got some great deals, myself! I always wanted to try those Oscar Mayer hot sandwiches so I got one of them for a dollar off. I also bought several of the stackers for 52 cents apiece, hot dogs and shaved turkey. Great deals!:thumbsup2

I went to my Target today all the lunchables were full price, but they had the mini-hamburger ones for $1.02 - so less the $1 coupon made them .02 cents each. I bought a couple for my dd's - they have never had them before. I also bought the low fat turkey and cheese stackables, they were
$2.00 so I ended up paying $1 for that one.

For $13.55 I got:

10 Oscar Meyer Weiners
7 Market Pantry Hot Dog Buns (all they had on the shelf)
10 64oz Mott's Apple Juice
2 14oz French's Mustard
10 1-liter Sparkling Water

Had absolutely no problem using the coupons. I am donating everything except the sparkling water to our church's vacation bible school. What a deal!!!

I wanted to relay the experience I had using these coupons at my local Target(not Supertarget):

Last Tuesday, had my shopping cart filled with lunchables, weiners, bacon, cookies, pringles and a bunch of other stuff. Picked out the only young male cashier, he couldn't get my coupons to scan. I expected that. I always have problems using my inkjet printer. The coupons will rarely scan. Anyway, my cashier called over the front end manager(Mike) who showed him how to manually enter the coupons. Great! No problems. I was checked out in about 5 minutes.

Today, same deal. Full shopping cart, coupons in hand. I get to the front end and there are 2 registers open(one of them 20 items or less) and about 20 people waiting in line. I had no choice but to go to the only available register. Finally get to the front of the line and hand her my coupons. Of course they don't scan. She asks the other cashier what to do. The other cashier tells her that she was told she didn't have to take the web coupons anymore. Now, I am getting annoyed. So she calls a manager over. Here comes Mike. Great! I think. He easily explained the manual entry procedure last week, things should go smoothly this week. Wrong! He tells my cashier that unless they can be scanned, she cannot take them. ***??? "Well thats not what you said last week. These are Target coupons and you should honor them." is what I told him. Then he proceeds to tell me that my printer is the problem. I told him that no, if they can be manually entered, like they were last week, then there is no problem. Then he complains to me that its going to take 30 minutes to enter all my coupons(I had about 20 target coupons). Well, that is not my problem. If they had staffed the registers properly, there wouldn't be a backup of customers right now and you wouldn't be trying to push me out the door. I told him that either she takes the 30 minutes to enter my coupons, or he will spend it putting my stuff back because I'm not buying a darn thing. He finally relented, told me again to change my printer settings(whatever) and left. It took about 5 minutes to enter my coupons. I went looking for him to prove that it wouldn't take that long, but he had mysteriously disappeared.

Anyway, the only reason I think I got the runaround today is because the store was more crowded than last week. Another thing, my cashier wasn't going to take the coupons because she said they were for Supertarget only. But, I pointed out to her that the coupon says right at the top that it is a Target coupon or a Supertarget coupon.

I am not an expert by any means, but I did have an observation about the coupons. When I printed the coupons directly from Target, they were able to be scanned at the store. When I used the coupon generator posted earlier in this thread, those coupons could not be scanned at the store (you can visually see that the numbers on the coupons are less clear on that website). Just something I noticed that may be helpful to another in the future.

This is my first experience using the Target coupons. How often do they post new coupons? I noticed that some don't expire until August....will they have new ones before that?

A big thank you to everyone for sharing this info. I bought 20 lunchables for either $.59 or $.72 for the larger ones (bought all they had :thumbsup2 ). I also got 9 12 packs of Dr.Pepper for $1.75 each.

That being said, I had a similar experience to Kycha. 2 registers open, 1 being express and at least 10 people in each line. Someone finally came and opened another register. The cashier that rang up my order was totally flustered anyway. And some of the coupons wouldn't scan and others did (he just scanned a duplicate of something else). When I looked at my receipt, I found it had not taken off 19 of the coupons for the lunchables (and he did scan them). So off to customer service where she had to go retrieve the coupons, rescan them all, go find my check, have me write another check. She was very nice about it and apparently the cashier was really from another department and helping out.

Except for these deals, I rarely shop at Target because I find their return policy and customer service department to be so non-customer friendly. But for these kinds of bargains, I'll make an exception. Now if I can just make it out of the store without buying any other stuff...
