Where do you run to if you need lunch in WS? Where do you avoid? We are probably looking for a counter service, but reccomend whatever...

If you are looking for counter service, we like the food court in the Land. Lots of variety, quick and not too pricey.

This is one of our favorite things about WS, noshing around the world! Most of the countries have counter service, it really depends on your family's tastes, but if they're adventurous, you're bound to find a new fav. We like the nachos in Mexico, Bratwurst in Germany, Japan has the loveliest setting outside for counter service dining, dessert in France, and if you have a picky eater, there's always burgers and chicken tenders in America, or the McDonalds. I hear the sandwiches in Norway and fish & chips in UK are good too. We're going to try Tangierine Cafe in Morroco next trip, my kids loved the Morrocan food at the F&W festival a few years ago. Counter service menus are also on Deb Will's site: www.allearsnet.com

For counter service, I would recommend The Land. Several different options and not too expensive. Another option would be lunch at Le Cellier. The food is excellent and lunch is cheaper than dinner. You can get a thick steak burger with steak fries for $9.99. Another option is over at Beaches & Cream at the Beach Club, which is just outside of the International Entrance of World Showcase.

Thi sis our favorite counter service place! We really like ordering Chinese at home, and this Japanese is really good. I love the Yakitori chicken on a stick with rice! If you are into that kind of stuff, give it a try!!

For counter-service in Epcot, our fave is fish & chips in the UK pavillion. But we also really like the Land, if you can back-track there. I second the mention of Yakitori house, they're pretty good too. The American Adventure has the Liberty Inn, but it's not worth it, IMHO, as it's not that different from McDonalds, but a lot more $$$$. Whatever you choose, you can get pastries from France. :)

If you change your mind and want a sit-down restaurant, I'd recommend Chefs de France.

It does totally depend on your likes/dislikes. For counter service I agree with some others people have mentioned, the Cantina outside of Mexico, and Yakitori House in Japan. It's not really lunch but there's nothing like a fresh hot pretzel and a Beck's beer from the carts in Germany :Pinkbounc

The fish and chips are to die for in the UK. Best I ever had. My second fav is the cantina in Mexico, add in a frozen Margarita on a hot day, yummy.

There's something for everyone at WS, no matter what your taste! We tend toward simple foods, nothing too unusual, so our favorites at WS are:

Fish and chips from Yorkshire County Fish Shop in England
Wet burritos from Cantina de San Angel in Mexico
Any and everything from Boulangerie Patisserie in France

I went there for lunch twice in December-they have a fruit and cheese plate that's excellent, and it comes with a warm little loaf of bread. Also, it's not too filling, so then you can go back for dessert!
