Lunch with Princesses - is it worth it?

I still debating on taking DD there in September, can i order a kids meal for myself and still pay the adult price? I know Kyra won't eat much when theres a character around, so i at least want to make the most of my money and eat something lol.

The adult meal was a little bit too much for me, too fabcy I'd say and I agree the kids menu isn't that child friendly but still worth going! I did ask them to bring me the kids meal and the waitress wasn't very impressed but in the end she gave in and gave me a :furious: look

Anyway, to cut the story short, we paid for 2 kids meals (me and Mia's) and DH had an adult one. The kids coctails are nice, can only imagine what the adult ones are like (I don't drink so wine etc is not on the menu)

But yes, you can ask them nicely to bring you a kids meal and hopefully they'll say ::yes::

here're some photos...

LOL, i dont mind paying the adult price for the kids meal.

Can you not order coke or fanta instead of a fancy cocktail?

must be, that is the only place we've seen them dressed up in those costumes... they were gorgeous!

*Stamps feet* coz Mickey & Minnie weren't there when we were there ;)
:rotfl:

We've been twice and didn't see Mickey and Minnie either time.....

We ate there soon after it had changed to Princess meal and thought it was worth the money. The food was really good- not like theme park food at all and what we would class as proper French food.
We really enjoy eating out when in France (not just DLP but other France as well) and feel the food here equals most other restaurants we've eaten at throughout France.
Apart from the starter I would dispute the food being not child friendly. What is wrong with a chicken breast in a mushroom gravy with potatoes and veg (Yes real veg). DD loved it and it looked very appetising.

I think Mickey and Minnie are there sometimes in place of a Princess - in other words if M and M are there there will probably be one less Princess.

Not sure what wld be on the menu when you go but when we were there, there was also a 'fish candy' option for the kids - small pieces/cubes of salmon in filo pastry with asparagus risotto, which was yummy. My DS (2.5 yrs) enjoyed this starter though but then again, he loves tomatoes & he loves cheese.

Just ate here On June 24th with me and DH. As soon as I get photos figued out I will write up a report but have to run to work first. The food- I didn't care for at all. Only ate the tomato/cheese in the starter- DH said the Salmon was like picking it up from the river and biting in to it. (he likes his fish warm) and he tried the goose liver and said it was better than the salmon but the look on his face wasn't good. He only took the one bite-that was enough. He had the rack of lamb which he enjoyed- I couldn't even deal with the smell of the meat and I had the cheese tortellini with spinich and though it was rather bland but edible. Keep in mind we aren't gormet food eaters. People arond us were enjoying the starters though.

The princess interaction was wonderful! I didn't know how excited I would be seeing them. I was literaly shaking like a leaf and had tears in my eyes. We saw Cinderella, Snow White, Aurora and Phillip, Ariel, Suzy and Perla. Like I said I will write up a full report soon hopefully with pictures of the food, princesses and menu.

I will definitly go again with our daughter but not for the food. Only for the princesses- that was worth it compared to having to stand in the line for the princeses on the stage with people blowing smoke in our faces.

That is what I believe makes the charter meals worth the higher cost. They come and spend time wiht you- you don't hve to push and shove trying to see them.
