During our trip next month, we are lucky enough to be dining with an Imagineer. This is not the lunch offered at the Brown Derby, but with one of my DH former coworkers who is now an imagineer at WDW. He has offered to take us to lunch at one of the resorts of our choice. Where would you recommend to have a nice lunch? Very much looking forward to this, DH and friend have not seen each other in over 15 years!!!

Wow.. that is great. Hope we hear about your experience in a trip report when you return. It will be fun for your DH to be able to see an old coworker/friend too. Gee... now for thoughts on where to lunch... if you want to stick with a resort rather than a park, how about the Concourse Steakhouse? Or, this isn't a resort but not in the park either.. the Rainforest Cafe. If you can go into a park, I would go with one of the Epcot restaurants or CRT in the MK. Have a GREAT time!!!!

Our two favorite spots for lunch in the resorts are Grand Floridian Cafe and Kona Cafe. Grand Floridian Cafe is a beautiful restaurant with a traditional lunch menu...sandwiches, salads and a couple of entrees. Kona Cafe is set on the second floor of the lobby of the Polynesian. The monorail runs along outside the windows and you can see the lush tropical landscaping and hear water rushing. The menu is more unusual. The food is very good at both. You can see the menus at wdwig.com.
