worth it ? or should we watch the polynesian show? we're traveling with 3 year old twins...thanks.

I booked the Dine with Shamu to december. Anyone can tell me if I can reserve a table next to the slide-out area?

We did the dine with Shamu last October and were very disappointed with it. The food was ok, but there wasn't much with Shamu at all. DS4 had to go to the "potty" and missed about 1/2 to 3/4 of the entertainment because of it (DS4 was only gone for about 10 minutes). He was a bit upset at that as was DH (since DH took DS to the boy's room).

dana1003: Where was that picture taken with the scuba diver holding up the happy birthday sign? That's awesome!

We are doing the Dine with Shamu for my daughter's 9th birthday in August. She can't wait!

that was in the coral reef in epcot (dec 2006) when i called a couple months in advance i told them we were going to be celebrating 2 bdays(twin girls) and my parents anniversary and if i could have a diver come down. when we finnaly got to epcot that day, they sat us right in front of the tank and a diver came down w/that sign..when he flipped it over it was a sign to my parents.they will also personalize a menu for you w/her pic on it if you email it to them. oh by the way..its FREE!!!!!! i dealt w/ a woman by the name of debbi secleux who i believe is a manager there? but the only thing is..you have to try and schedule when the divers are in the tank that day. disney has some scuba diving class that people take to learn how to scuba and they use that tank for practice so you might have to be flexible w/your eating times. the food was good too. my parents cried and we got that great shot of the girls in front of the tank. good luck!!:wizard:

Dine w/Shamu AKA Backstage at Believe is not lunch. AFAIK, it is more like late afternoon (4:30-5:00pm). I'd check the web site for the day you're gong to be there to check the time (sometimes there are 2 seating times). There are also 2 Luau times, at least on the weekends. The Luau is later in the day so perhaps the times would help you decide. On the weekends there are 2 Luaus just to confuse things further :)

The Dine w/ Shamu is not advertised as dining w/ shamu-they seem to advertise it as "time w/ the trainers", I was not going to book because I was not sure if you actually get to see Shamu up close-do you? I could care less about the food but would love to be up close to the Orca tank. Anyone done it? What was the interaction w/ the trainers and whales really like?

Thanks for any info!!:thumbsup2
